Re: “Who Will Get the Land Around Burlington College?

So, Bernie Sander's wife bought the property for the college, for some reason paying $4 million more than it was worth at the time... interesting. Then, mismanaged the school to the degree it could no longer afford the property, taking a 1/4 million dollar golden parachute she from the school on her forced exit. Now, the school is in the dire straights it was driven straight to by Sanders and has to sell the property to the same developer. I have to wonder who might be best buds behind the scenes here. Me thinks there should be a criminal investigation. Otherwise, let Mrs. Sanders dip into her 1 Percenter, excessively deep pockets and save not only the school, but Burlington too, from the situation she created.

Re: “Burlington's Most Affordable Neighborhood Is ... For Sale

Great article! Leadership is rising from this crisis, and the courage of resident is attracting notable resources, people who have come to stand with park residents. So proud of this community.

Brian Pine began his housing advocacy organizing MHPs. Sara Woodward CVOEO is praised by the Milton MHP co-op board as someone who helped them every step of the way. Andy Danforth from CDI is an expert in co-op financing and management, and Matt Cropp, a historian of co-ops, is a North End neighbor. It is an auspicious collaboration, a strong team.
