Re: “Roger Weingarten

I really beautiful show. I was lucky enough to get a personal tour by Rodger and it gave me a hundred times more insight into the show. So much so I bought him lunch afterwards. If you plan to see the show with four to six people you might contact him at rogw12@comcast.net. He lives in Montpelier.

Re: “Roger Weingarten

I LOVED this beautiful show of Roger Weingarten's digital art and a few very entertaining sculptures. The first wonderful thing that blew me away was the saturated jewel-toned color to be found throughout the framed art. Then, as I looked more closely and carefully, I found that amazing images seemed to keep popping out and surprising me in almost every piece. The show seemed to have been hung in such a way as to provide a "flow" from one piece to the next with the variety of mood and subject making the viewer want to find out "what's next".

Re: “'Material Matters'

Judy Dales of the Exhibition Committee offered the following comment:

"This exhibit presents an exciting sampler of the work being done by fiber artists today: baskets with unusual surface treatments; knitted sculpture, both thought provoking and whimsical; quilted works ranging from complex subtle designs to bold, graphic work; woven wearables to wall weavings; hand painted and dyed fiber pieces; and imaginative assemblages made from both fiber and natural objects. The items in this exhibit cross boundaries, sometimes obviously fiber work, other times mixed media, thus truly representing the broad range of surface design today."

Exhibit dates will be June 1 - 28, 2016
