Re: “Pork & Pickles BBQ

Really yummy and a nice retreat from Burlington. We've already been twice. Loved the brisket, pickle plate and the potato salad is just so good! We will be back soon!

Re: “Cyclepath Indoor Cycling

Be careful when purchasing passes from Cyclepath. You may regret it as much as I did. You’re better off elsewhere. You can be sure your money will be.

Up to March 2016, Cyclepath would sell multiclass passes to its customers, and would regularly offer multiclass passes at a discount in order to entice more purchases. BEWARE. Customers could easily purchase multiple classes, in anticipation of enjoying the classes over multiple weeks or even months.

Then, in March 2016, Cyclepath abruptly closed its doors, providing a week’s notice to its email list subscribers. Until late September 2016, Cyclepath offered ZERO classes. CYCLEPATH HALTED OPERATIONS FOR almost SIX MONTHS.

But Cyclepath refused to refund its customers, despite failing to provide the service it sold. If you bought classes hoping to exercise at the studio in the summer, Cyclepath decided to keep your money without offering any of the contracted-for services. Anyone who purchased a class pass and wanted to use it on a cold or rainy day in spring or summer…tough luck. Cyclepath and its owners, Kara and Ian, did not offer any Cyclepath classes during that period.

I asked for a refund in August so I could spend my money elsewhere at the end of the summer. I was refused and advised that I should have used my classes immediately, as though I should have anticipated Cyclepath’s six-month abandonment of its business. According to Cyclepath, Cyclepath has a “no refunds” policy after 30 days, even if it is literally IMPOSSIBLE for a customer to obtain the purchased services because Cyclepath abruptly shut its doors for a six-month vacation.

I don’t patronize businesses that make fools out of its customers. Vermont has excellent fitness class providers, with terrific reputations who treat customers (and customers’ wallets) with respect. Avoid Cyclepath.

Re: “Cody's Irish Pub & Grille

The worst. Nasty service, nasty vibe. Mediocre food even if it was served hot. Not going back

Re: “Charlie-O's World Famous

In a sentence: They run a tight ship.

Not a whole lot of nonsense and drama here. If it happens, your outta here! And there will be a discussion about you in the Wednesday staff meeting. Some leave for LIFE!

Lot's of fun, great staff and awesome pool players. You never know what type of live music is happening next. If there is none, try the jukebox, It's loaded. Corn hole, darts, pinball or watching a game; even the barflies stay engaged at Charlie O's. It's where you wanna be. So gritty that they cal the restrooms heaven and hell! Don't miss the fine cuisine!

You wanna go where everybody knows your shame.

cash bar. ATM inside.

Re: “Café Mediterano

Cafe Mediterano has the best ćevapi, rice, lamb, homemade baked breads, and baklava around. If you get any of the platters, you will leave stuffed! The ambiance is simple, but Stella is always on tap, and Barney (owner) always takes time to chat with you. I recently had a party and had it catered by Cafe Mediterano as well. Everyone that came raved about the food, everybody. Anyway, do yourself a favor and try out some of the best food in Chittenden County!

Re: “Casa Aguilera Trading Company

Just happened to be in St. J. this weekend and stumbled across Casa Aguilera on the way to see the Eric Aho show at Catamount Arts. The smoker parked out front was a very good sign. Anyway, we had an absolutely superb lunch of brisket tacos along with the wicked maple bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers. St. J. is a pretty good drive from my house, but I'll be returning as often as possible when I'm jonesing for actual Mexican food — easily the most authentic Mexican restaurant in the state.

Re: “Shy Guy Gelato

Great gelato ! Cute little shop, and had a wonderful conversation with one of the owners! We had chocolate gelato combined with mango sorbet; the chocolate was decadent and should satisfy any chocoholic, the mango sorbet was refreshing and flavorful! Looking forward to another visit !!

Re: “Kingdom Crust Co.

I love the new food and choices. Love that they are supporting local farms and are very conciencious of what is being used in the food they prepare so we are all healthier. Keep up the good work Mr. Heath.

Re: “Burton Island State Park

As far as "schlepping" stuff: the park offers the assistance of a gear delivery service in and out. For $10, no schlepping required. They'll even load your wood up for you to deliver with your things.
