Re: “Sweetwaters

Been more than once. Every time, great.
Had dinner before a play at the Flynn. Went early, enjoyed the atmosphere, we were not rushed, enjoyed a drink, ordered dinner, all in time for the play. Maple martini was to die for. Food: 4 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5

Re: “Sweetwaters

the new menu rocks!
We had a great time at Sweetwaters this weekend! There were six of us and the service was excellent. We started with oysters and sweet potato fries - just fantastic. The new fennel chicken was great. We love seeing all the local ingredients on the menu! Keep it up Sweetwaters! Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5

great to be back!
We hadn't been to Sweetwaters since the summer and are so happy we went back! There was an energy there that is so refreshing... great music, service and the food was fantastic! I had the chicken and pasta and my husband the (huge!!) bison buger. We can't wait to go back! Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5

Re: “Sweetwaters

Excellent!
There is a reason this place has been open since 1981. The location is prime, the servers are amazing, and the food is the best around. Probably Vermont's busiest restaurant so if you plan on going during peak hours- call ahead. Open late is key. Best VT beer selection on tap. Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5

Great Lunch
My wife and I ate lunch at Sweetwaters and the experience was great. My wife had a salmon burger with fries & coleslaw, divine & delicious. I had a chicken Parmesan with tomato sauce plus coleslaw, also delicious. The portions are large. The service provided by our waitress was friendly and prompt. We enjoyed watching the people go by as we ate our lunch. We had great food and a relaxing lunch. We will return soon. Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5

Simple and Good, Nice Atmosphere
Sweetwaters has a great location, and great interior space. Lots of cozy corners for privacy and comfort while dining. The food is simple but really good. Don't expect a fine dining atmosphere, becuase that's not what Sweetwaters is. But if you want a nice time with a great simple sandwich, burger, or soup and salad, etc. this is an excellent choice. Lots of local beers on tap too. Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5

great food!
I love eating here and ordering the shirt sleeve. It is a great chicken sandwich! The inside of the building is really cool, with a painted mural. I would highly recommend eating here! Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 4

Steak dinner with Portabella Mushroom appetizer
We had a delightful dining experience. The mushroom appetizer was prepared with great presentation and it was very delicious. The steaks were prepared to perfection as medium rare and were tender and fresh. The waiter was delightful, engaging and didn't miss a beat. We will definately return to this restaurant again when we are in the Burlington area. Food: 5 Ambiance: 4 Service: 5

Re: “Sweetwaters

Always a great meal!
I love their salads and sandwiches-- their pear gorgonzola and Vermonter (turkey with Vermont cheddar and apples on raisin bread with apple butter). It was a very sad day when they ran out of the ingredients for the Vermonter on a recent visit. The upper floor is a great place for a small party. Food: 4 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5
