Re: “Honest Yoga Center

A beautiful, warm and welcoming studio, full of unique, friendly and credited professionals. A prefect place for beginners....Danielle, Scott and Sam are some of my all time favorite instructors...worldly, but down to earth....cool and influential members of the Burlington community.

Re: “Absolute Wellness Healing Spa

This is the most beautiful spa I've been to. I've been to all of them in the Burlington area, thanks to my hubby giving me gift certificates. As soon as I walked in this spa, they had me at 'Hello.' The soothing sounds, natural lighting and spacious lounge was so inviting, I felt right at home, like I had entered a peaceful sanctuary. The aura from the staff is even warm and calming and their attentive customer service is always welcoming. Try out the sonic vibration and the anti-gravity before your massage. It helps my muscles relax and loosen up before my services even start. The therapists are mind blowing. Period. I've had Donnie, Sarah and Nancy so far for hot stone, deep muscle massage, body scrubs and wraps. They're all fantastic. So amazing, I recommend this place to everyone I know. And I'm getting my parents to go here for their aching backs/painful muscles for a couples massage. They also offer amazing facials - my skin glows for weeks afterwards. And the Brazilian wax services with Jackie is absolutely the best in town. Her waxing is quick and painless - and very thorough. I've never had to do any at-home post wax grooming with Brazilians done with her. Their affordable spa membership and waxing packages make this little habit possible for me continue monthly.

Re: “Chop Shop Hair Design

I have to say since I moved back to VT two years ago I have struggled to find a hair salon that I truly trust...Chop Shop is the first salon that has competent stylists that know how to color hair appropriately without frying your hair...These stylists know what they are doing...I bounced around between multiple ppl there and was never disappointed, now I go to Alicia who can give you a city quality cut/color with a BTV price:) I will never search for a salon again! I highly reccomend going there! Don't believe the negative reviews you see online, they're posted from people that don't understand what a coloring process takes!

Re: “The Inn at Shelburne Farms

Wow!! We've been going to Shelburne Farms for dinner for at least 10 years now and I dare say the meal we had the other night was as good as any we've ever had there. Let's be honest here, when you drive on to the Vanderbilt estate, you instantly feel like a million bucks. There is perhaps no greater thrill than watching the sun go down (cocktail in hand, of course) from an Adirondack chair over looking the beautiful gardens and Lake Champlain. It almost doesn't matter how good the food and service is, it's already a special night! But this year, the food and service rival anywhere in the area, at least based on our first experience of the year. The salad with fiddleheads, ramps, mushrooms and cheese was great, as were the claims of my dining companions with their starters (one a fresh take on pasta carbonara that included a ham they had cured and hung dry over the winter).

I had a taste of a few entrees and was most surprised by how great the cornmeal crusted lake trout was. Less surprising was the delicious Lamb Cassoulet. If you've dined at the Inn in years past, you know they very well may raise and prepare some of the best lamb in the world, it lacks that gaminess that turns so many people away from the dish. The Beef and Pork (both raised on the farm) were also exceptional.

Also noteworthy was the seamless service and ramped up wine list. They've always had a great list, but it was apparent they'd added a lot of fun, new, interesting wines that come from producers more in line with Shelburne Farms own ideals and values.

Bravo, Shelburne Farms, it's gonna be a good year, I can tell! I'm already dreaming about when I get served a tomato that's still warm from the sun here later in the year.

Re: “The Inn at Shelburne Farms

My all-time favorite
Everything about this restaurant is the best, the food is fantastic, creative, beautiful, local... The service is perfect, relaxed , friendly, polite, helpful. The place is stunningly beautiful no matter which direction you look. It is the best place ever for a romantic dinner. It is expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for!!! Re: “The Inn at Shelburne Farms

A Yearly Treat
If there is something better than the Oyster appetizer, I have yet to find it anywhere. Perefctly fried plump oysters with smoked baco, creme fraiche, and pickled shallots. The lowest wine markups anywhere around. Is it Spring yet ?? Food: 4 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5

Best Food
Arguably best food in Vermont. You will drop some bones, but you will have one hell of a meal. Brunch is also a must. Great setting, though only open seasonally. Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5

Re: “The Inn at Shelburne Farms

One of the Best Breakfasts
Honestly, you couldn't get a better location--views of the lake, beautiful portraits on the walls, marble flooring, and tiny muffins and Green Mountain coffee to eat before you're seated. Make reservations and you should be all set. Prices average $9-10 for the brunch. Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5
