Re: “Dharshan Namaste Asian Deli

This place is great! Very nice staff. It can take a while to get your food when they get busy but it always comes out tasty and large portions. Chicken dumplings, beef noodle soup and fried rice are so good. Also the spicy wings and Pork Bahn mi are great. BYOB. We like the cozy and sometimes awkward setting. We need more family run restaurants like this.

Re: “A Single Pebble

The chef's tasting menu was out of this world. Each dish was prepared with care and nicely presented and described by the servers. There was so much food! I loved every dish from start to finish and the service was excellent. Well done, A Single Pebble.

Re: “Bluebird Barbecue

Tonight I had the most enjoyable burger (for me) that I've had since 1994. Serious props to Bluebird BBQ - first time on the East Coast that I've not put ketchup on hamburger. My wife was shocked, she'd never seen me do that. Seared on the outside, totally pink and warm to hot through the middle, juicy and delightful. She took a bite, her eyes widened, she grinned and said, "Ohmygod I just want to slurp this." Perfect.

The poutine is excellent, the ribs are fantastic...but this was something special. I like my meat a bit more rare than many people, but their presentation was perfect for me. Nothing frilly, no bells and whistles, just excellent beef perfectly prepared on a simple bun with great cheese. Thank you!

Re: “Dharshan Namaste Asian Deli

Quickly I became a regular at this tiny restaurant of food made with fresh ingredients & generous portions. A wonderful aroma welcomes you upon entering stimulating the appetite.

A small menu yet nice selection for a palate that enjoys Nepalese & Vietnamese foods. Noodles, momo, pho, bahn mi, vegetables, fresh spring rolls, chicken, beef or rice. Beautiful presentation & consistent preparation never disappoints.

Gratefully their food stays true to culture norm. Not swayed by an American version. The flavor fusion is a refreshing tasty balance. If you expect hot you got it! If not that's ok too.

Staff is always friendly & accommodating. Seating is limited. Take out is available. Enjoy!

Re: “Winooski Falls Market & Deli

Been there twice now for their interesting, delicious, and filling paninis and wraps and we'll head back there soon. I chose five stars because of the good value, friendly service, quality food and unique menu. They have a few small tables if you'd like to "eat in," but it's a convenient counter service and take-out (or clean up after yourself) place. Easy parking, sparkling restroom and just a block from the Winooski roundabout.

Re: “Pingala Café & Eatery

The freshest of the fresh, you are not skimping on flavor or yummy eats by springing for this little friendly vegan spot. I love Pingala because it's affordable and I've never been disappointed. I especially love the spring rolls with pickled veggies and peanut sauce, kickin' buffalo wrap, and the hash and scramble wrap. The smoothies are yummy and given in a tall pint glass. The baked goods are from 7 Sisters Bakery and out of this world good, especially the maple donuts.

Re: “Pizzeria Verità

Had an awesome first time experience at Pizzeria Verità starting with the antipasti which we had created for five....a wonderful selection of olives, marinated artichokes, speck, rapini mozzarella and bread...YUM! We moved on to the Funghi Rustico pizza and then the Fig and Gorgonzola pizza which were both amazing. It was difficult to choose just two pizzas as they all sounded wonderful. I can't wait to go back again and again to try them all. Our waitress was attentive and made sure to keep our water glasses full -- thank you!

The bartender made us five different Old-Fashions for us to taste test. She wrote us a list of what each drink contained and even stopped by our table to see how we were doing with our drinks and what we thought of them. Great night of food and service.

Re: “Duino (Duende)

There is not a restaurant in Burlington like it! Dueno Duende is so unique with a fun and romantic atmosphere. The prices are very affordable and they use local, fresh ingredients and flavors from around the world! Their Korean foods are the best, the last time I visited I had the Korean tacos with homemade kimchi. I have also had bulgogi here which is equally delicious. I cannot recommend Dueno Duinde enough. Burlington is lucky to have this restaurant.

Re: “Bento

I found this little jewel on Seven Days and decided to go check it out because they were play reggae. What an awesome vibe. The owner is very personable which gives the whole place a very nice laid back type of vibe. Friendly staff and very neat and clean space make for a great evening. I'd highly recommend !

Re: “Mule Bar

I love Mule Bar. I frequent their spot on Taco Tuesday. They have an awesome selection of beers on tap and event a draught cocktail - among others. The food is super tasty, consistent and reasonably priced and the atmosphere is clean and bright. It's turning into my regular spot! I would recommend!

Re: “Manhattan Pizza & Pub

Great Place to eat and drink. Good food and good friends and great bartenders. Fair price. Almost always good music playing. Definately a good place to check out in the heart of downtown.

Re: “Tilt Classic Arcade and Ale House

From the menu and beer selection, it is easy to tell that these guys decided to do it right. The game selection is great and only getting better with recent additions.

Re: “Juniper

Spectacular Cocktails! So special and yummy, sat outside on the rooftop deck overlooking the city, the stars were out and a warm wind greeted us as we enjoyed the Farmer's Martini- really exceptional. NOT cheap but if you're feeling for a treat it's well worth it!

Re: “La Boca Wood Fired Pizzeria

We have been to La Boca three times, and it is a wonderful addition to the NNE. Finally someplace that has great quality food and local products. Their pizza has been consistently good with excellent crust, including the specials and menu items (the loaded baked potato pizza was a surprise and tasty). Last night we had the cheese plate, and it was excellent as well with delicious cheeses from Shelburne Farms. The atmosphere is comfortable, their service personalized, and the local beers and ciders on tap include unique finds well worth trying. Definitely a keeper!

Re: “La Boca Wood Fired Pizzeria

Finally a fabulous restaurant has come to the New North End. The food was great and the service was amazing, including one of the owners who came up to your table introduced herself and made sure we had everything we needed. We brought our two small children as well, which at times is very challenging, and they were so understanding and helpful. We for sure will be eating there again !

Re: “Stacks Sandwiches

I've always been pleased with the sandwiches at Stacks. The Maple Cilantro Turkey is my favorite... or maybe the Buffalo Chicken... or the Cuban Missile. The sweetness of the turkey on the Maple Cilantro is just so perfect! All the components just go together so well, and the bread is great too. Soft, yet sturdy enough to hold up while eating. Ingredients always seem fresh, and their house made sweet pickles are DELICIOUS. I would buy a jar of those any day.

Re: “Four Corners of the Earth

From the moment I ducked out of the sun and into the cool, sub-level, stone-lined eatery, I was in love. People slowly made their way down the stairs, reading the sign board, choosing their selection by name only (Trust the maker. Genius.), and quietly tucking themselves into nooks decorated with a most amazing mix of art and materials.

I sat on a metallic upholstered antique cast iron stool and exercised my eyes as they ran over a giant painting of a hungry baby robin; what looked like a humble medieval alter made into a table with chairs on a raised platform on one side and more antique stools on the other; and thoughtfully hung objects from Eastern Europe nearest the workstation of the craftsman himself. Who, I noticed, has a great CEE accent, has an eye for detail, doesn't miss a thing, and keeps everything absolutely immaculate.

When the expert coordinator/apprentice of this hidden gem told me it may take a little time for my order in light of the large party that beat me into this deli of delights, I said that was a-ok. It was a treat to be given time to take in the details. Like the bench with shaggy tufted cushions at one table and the soft beams of light making the painting at my feet glow.

Also, to think on what a Czech Chicken will taste like and which nook I want to claim on my next visit.

Really people, leave any hang-ups at the door and live a little. Channel your little explorer and try something new. It's good for you, and so is this place.

Re: “Thai Dishes

This is going to be habit-forming. My husband and I stopped in for an early dinner this past weekend. The space is beautiful; and service was prompt and courteous. They didn't have their liquor license as of last weekend, so I can't comment on the drink menu (but I hope to see that soon!), but the food was delicious, super fresh, and well prepared. I ordered the Pad Prik Khing (spicy green bean stirfry) and my husband ordered Pad Thai - which is a great benchmark order to place when checking out a Thai restaurant. The portions were generous - I'm a fairly light eater, and only got about halfway through my food before requesting a to-go container - and the green beans and snap peas in the stirfry were bright green with the perfect amount of crunch. The sauce was spicy and complex. My husband's Pad Thai (we couldn't resist sharing) had perfectly cooked rice noodles, a wonderfully classic Pad Thai sauce, and a hearty amount of chicken. We're planning on going back tomorrow!
