Re: “People’s United Bank (Montpelier)

I have been with Peoples United Bank for 5 years .The customer service in this bank has exceeded my expectations. Manager helped me get organized in a way that has helped me grow my business. I recommend that any young entrepreneur or start up to get signed up with their business banking services as it can be difficult for an artist/creative person to get organized. I also have an account here and I am very satisfied with this bank. Incidentally, if you are searching information about Peoples United Bank you can find it here http://www.usbankinginfo.com/bank/peoples-united-bank/

Re: “Natural Provisions Deli & Café

I do not know how they do it! Anytime, you just walk in and the soups are perfect, and the hot food is also delicious. This is not an easy thing to accomplish. So besides being a great market, this place stacks up as one of the best restaurants in the area as well. With all the flash & pomp around, this little salad bar seems to get it right because someone obviously cares. Thanks.

Re: “Chop Shop Hair Design

I have to say since I moved back to VT two years ago I have struggled to find a hair salon that I truly trust...Chop Shop is the first salon that has competent stylists that know how to color hair appropriately without frying your hair...These stylists know what they are doing...I bounced around between multiple ppl there and was never disappointed, now I go to Alicia who can give you a city quality cut/color with a BTV price:) I will never search for a salon again! I highly reccomend going there! Don't believe the negative reviews you see online, they're posted from people that don't understand what a coloring process takes!

Re: “Natural Provisions Deli & Café

This is a diamond in the rough- a breath of fresh air in the big box store smothering of Williston. You can find just about anything in this little crunchy store with great baked goods, cool little cheese and produce area, great deli, and really friendly staff. Love it.

Re: “Das Bierhaus

Very Accomadating and Delcious
We live 1.5 hours away from Burlington and were coming into town to see the new Warren Miller film at the Flyn. I looked up a bunch of restaurants and decided to go to the Das Bierhaus because of the reviews and that the Farmhouse Tap and Grill doesn't take reservations. What an awesome restaurant this is. We were 30 minutes past our reservations due to snowy weather and getting upper and lower Church St confused. We made it and there was our table still reserved in a packed place. We quickly ordered 2 beers which were awesome. Since we only had 30 minutes for our event to start the waitress and bartender put a rush on our order and our food was out in 10 minutes. We ordered chicken schnitzel (awesome with that Jagger sauce)and fries (huge serving), and both were delicious. Love you guys! We will be back! Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5

Re: “Das Bierhaus

Sehr gut
I did not like this place in the abstract (no fan of themed dining). But a restaurant-week visit proved quite satisfying. Our Bierfraulein, Megan, was welcoming, efficient, and fun (plus she has a sense of humor about the silly dirndl they make her wear). The food was quite swell, and the portions were reasonable and still generous (nicht zu klein oder zu gross). I'd never had Saurbraten (I know, with a name like Rudiger, you'd think), a slow-cooked meat dish in a nicely acidic glaze. But it was tasty and the vegetables weren't overcooked. My consort's Roulade was yummy. German wines are sometimes iffy and the Schloss Vollrads Kabinett (off-dry) Riesling was, for me, a bit thin, though well priced ($35). Generous cheese course, and oh, that pre-buttered bread thing is naughty but nice. The chocolate "mousse" parfait was dense, sweet, and just enough. We'll definitely be back. Re: “Das Bierhaus

This place is AWESOME
I made my first trip down to Das Bierhaus this weekend with some friends, for some dinner and drinks. We were blown away by the overall quality of our experience. The traditionally dressed staff welcomed our group immediately, and our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. Some members of our party were relatively unfamiliar with German beers, (which is all they serve on tap) but she was able to steer them directly to their new favorite brews. We ordered a mix of sides and entrees, and everything was excellent. I ordered a steak medium-rare and fries with their homemade jager sauce. (it was like gravy, but possibly the best gravy ever) It came out cooked to perfection, the fries were crisp and delicious and the chef had actually taken the time to rest the steak. (Usually when I order a steak, it comes out over or under done, and shows up swimming in a plate of its own juice.) My date's schnitzel came out golden, crisp and tender, and her potato salad was super tasty. The couple we went with split a sausage sampler they raved about. I'm not sure how curry sauce is German, though. The other thing I noticed about this place was that it was CLEAN. I don't know if it's because the place is new, or what, but I hope they can keep it this way. The bathrooms were the cleanest I've ever seen in Burlington, and they had really cool Dyson hand-dryers.The final thing I should mention is the price... I was expecting the place to be on the expensive side, but even though we ordered the pricier items, it was still very reasonable. My buddy was drinking $2 Spatens!Great food and beer, excellent service, at totally reasonable prices. I'll be going back very soon. Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5

Re: “Das Bierhaus

In a class all by itself, can't wait to go back.
We happened upon this bar after having a less than stellar meal up the street at the burger joint. We were only going to stay for a beer but found ourselves drawn in by the pleasant service we received and the awesome selection of beer. My friend is a beer aficionado as he works in the beverage industry and he marveled at their excellent selection of beers on tap as well as their selection of bottled beer. The downstairs area was very nice and relaxed and we spent several hours talking with our server Meghan (sp?) and other patrons. At one point we toured the facility and found the second floor and the rooftop area to be very nice. We had the opportunity to speak with the owner and he seemed like he was very interested in providing customers with a high quality dining and drinking experience. My friend commented how even the bathrooms were top notch and clean, something that it not always common in downtown establishments. We left after several enjoyable hours planning our next visit when we hope to be able to enjoy this incredibly inviting and pleasant restaurant again. If you want a clean and quality driven place to go for a drink or a meal this place is it. Based upon the older reviews I definitely think the kinks have been worked out. Do yourself a favor and check it out. Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5

Re: “Das Bierhaus

Nice and Charming
I recently ate here with a group of friends. Coming from a German heritage I was excited to try their wursts and schnitzels. I ordered the Rauchwurst which was suppose to be "hot". I love spicy food and did not think it was spicy at all, but again, German food tends to not be as spicy as some others. Other than that, the flavor was great and my Barvarian pretzel was awesome. It was so hot when it came out, I couldn't even touch it! My group shared a warm potato salad that was spiced just right. They had a great German beer selection as well. Prices weren't too bad either, very fair for the amount and quality of food you get. It was a nice Friday evening and I wish we could have sat on the roof but they were at max capacity. I'd love to go back on a slower night and have a great beer in the beer garden. Food: 4 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5

Re: “Das Bierhaus

One more time at Das Bierhaus
My husband and I have been twice now to the new Das Bierhaus and thoroughly enjoyed our experience there. So much so we invited friends to join us the second visit. They were truly impressed as well. The beer selection is fantastic, the schnitzel is tender and tasty, the pomme frits are mouth-watering, the wursts (Brats & Knocks) are snappy, juicy & flavorful. And did I say just how welcoming the owners and staff are? The decor is authentic and just right. We will continue to dine at Das Bierhaus as often as possible and I intend to take up residence there for the 2010 World Cup! Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5

Re: “Natural Provisions Deli & Café

Great addition to Williston
Ventured in to this market the other day and was so excited with each step I took. An aromatic, colorful produce section - a lovely cheese & bread area - a wide array of wines - an abundant health and beauty section - tons of chocolate goodies - and prompt, friendly service at the deli. I'll be back frequently! Food: 4 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5

Re: “Healthy Living Market & Café

Best Sunday brunch in Burlington
Wow! What a find. I could'nt believe how delicious and artistic their brunch was. The maple creme brulee french toast was incredible, a true masterpiece. I loved the chipotle scrambled eggs served over cornbread with melted jack. I even tried the caribbean tofu scramble, I'm not much of tofu person, and I've got to say I went back for seconds. The blend of tofu with roasted root vegetables, pumpkin, colorful peppers and a spectacular jamaican jerk sauce I could'nt resist. The homefries are the best I've had in town and believe it or not, no waiting an hour for a table on a Sunday. Top it off with great organic coffee and very friendly service you can't go wrong. They say the menu changes weekly which is awesome and almost unheard of, the chefs at Healthy Living are on top of their game. By far the best kept secret in town. Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5
