Re: “A Day in the Islands [363]

I love living in the islands. I live in a historic building in Grand Isle. It is been various stores since the 1800's. Can't miss it at the flashing light in Grand Isle.

Re: “A Day in the Islands [363]

Nice piece! But two notes... Alburgh was named for Ira Allen, and so is pronounced like the "Al" in "Allen". And you folks missed my mother's quirky shop in Alburgh, just a little ways down Rte. 2 (still in the village). New England Via Vermont has a history and geology room as well as a Civil War museum. Where else are you going to see a Mammoth tooth, or a doctor's bag from Andersonville?

Re: “Co-op Gardening with Bonnie [362]

Bonnie is the definition of a community activist and spreads positive energy wherever she goes. Thank you for recognizing her.

Re: “Tara Goreau Leaves Her Mark at Pingala Café

There should be some kind of foliage tour to see all of Tara's murals around Vermont. From Eva's video it looks like Pingala is in good company!

Re: “Tara Goreau Leaves Her Mark at Pingala Café

Great vid! Captures the 'new' Vermont ethos. Thanks, too, for the shout-out to the Northeast Kingdom by way of the Galaxy Bookshop in Hardwick and Pete's Greens in Craftsbury Common.
