Re: “In Pittsfield, Tiny Backroom Restaurant Opens

I can only say having eaten breakfast cooked by these two at the General Store... that I can't wait to visit this new venture!! Their food is delicious and served with a warm welcome, they could even tell you where ingredients were sourced and all about the local coffee supplier. Only problem is I am based in the UK, but I'll be certain to visit when next in Vermont!

Re: “Casual Cuisine: Food-Truck Weddings

We featured Pizza Papillo at our rehearsal dinner last September and it was such a treat. Our guests were so excited with the variety and entire experience of choosing what they wanted and watching the pizza from beginning to end. The best part though was how truly delicious it was! Thanks again Charlie and Deb for being a part of our wedding celebration!

Re: “Juice Couture: In Burlington, It's Cool to Drink Your Vegetables

Thank you SO much to the commenters above. As an owner of one of the establishments mentioned we are highly offended. First off this article was written by people who clearly do not have an appreciation of raw, clean, organic food – and certainly to go into six establishments in one day is not the wisest of ideas.

Not only does this article discourage people from eating healthy, it is completely unsupportive of small, local businesses, whose missions are to promote health and wellness in the community. There is A LOT that goes into the running of a juice bar, especially as complex as some these are (being way more than just juice bars). The owners are very hard working people, by the way, whose advertising dollars Seven Days adamantly seeks.

This article just MAYBE could have been easier swallow had it been written better than that of someone in junior high school. Most of these descriptions are simply immature…….over all just incredibly disappointing from Seven Days. Certainly had we been aware that what we served was not adequate we would have done anything to rectify the situation.

Re: “Juice Couture: In Burlington, It's Cool to Drink Your Vegetables

Way to go having unhealthy, unhealth-conscious entertainment writers reviewing medicinal beverages - clearly not representing or serving the largely healthful 7days/greater Burlington audience, local farmers, local markets, or local beverage producers. I think you all need a 3 day juice cleanse. FYI, you should probably consult your doctors before doing so. You may all need fecal transplants. Pronto.

I think this is a riot, love it! Can't wait to try them out, just one at a time though.

Re: “Juice Couture: In Burlington, It's Cool to Drink Your Vegetables

The comments of the reviewers are bad and rude. They clearly need to drink some kind of Happy juice... Wow seven days, way to go, choosing grumpy, clearly non juice drinkers to do a review of some clean and healthy juice.... sight...

Re: “Juice Couture: In Burlington, It's Cool to Drink Your Vegetables

Totally agree with the above comment. The Seven Days staff clearly just does not like juice, and in no way should be giving their opinion on these establishments. I have been to several of these locations, including Juice Box, Vermont Juice Company, and the mall kiosk Juice Bar...all were absolutely FANTASTIC, serving excellent healthy great tasting juices. Burlington is lucky to have these places finally available...Seven Days should be embarrassed by this article

Re: “Juice Couture: In Burlington, It's Cool to Drink Your Vegetables

Seems odd to have folks who clearly do not like juice, review all the local juice places. Since they dislike pretty much everything, this just comes off as unnecessary mean bashing of perfectly innocent local businesses. would expect better of Seven Days.

Re: “Best Bite of 2014: Pascolo Ristorante

We had an amazing experience this Saturday and wondered why we had never tried them before (ok, it was because we couldn't imagine they could remotely compare with Trattoria Delia or l'Amante and thought we would leave with the common, mediocre-Italian-restaurant experience of "Darn it! We could have made that as well at home for a fraction of the cost). Excellent service and exquisite food.

Re: “Best Bite of 2014: Pascolo Ristorante

Popped into Pascolo with some friends for drinks at the bar, I honestly couldn't believe how bad the service was. We actually watched the bartender leave the bar and sit at a table and eat dinner. Leaving the bar completely unattended while he ate. A manager came behind the bar to put away glasses, never even looked at us or noticed our empty glasses. With so many restaurants in Burlington that have great customer service, I can't imagine wasting my time and money at Pascolo Ristorante again.

Re: “Best Bite of 2014: Pascolo Ristorante

Can't believe your second choice was the Lobby. I've eaten there three times and the last two were horrible. Makes me wonder about your first choice...

A mediocre, struggling, inconsistent restaurant. Who begged you for this accolade?

Re: “Frat Fare

I know this article is a bit old, but it settled an argument that I was having with my hubby. He didn't think 1 person could cook for a fraternity house, and I said of course 1 person can handle it. Thanks for the interesting story.

Re: “Vermont Restaurants Turn to Taco Nights

I continued reading expecting there to at least be a mention of Main Street Tacos in Bristol, with their graffiti covered Taco Truck All Stars tentacles.

Whoops — the captions got switched. Thanks for catching that, Kelly!
