Re: “Charlie-O's World Famous

In a sentence: They run a tight ship.

Not a whole lot of nonsense and drama here. If it happens, your outta here! And there will be a discussion about you in the Wednesday staff meeting. Some leave for LIFE!

Lot's of fun, great staff and awesome pool players. You never know what type of live music is happening next. If there is none, try the jukebox, It's loaded. Corn hole, darts, pinball or watching a game; even the barflies stay engaged at Charlie O's. It's where you wanna be. So gritty that they cal the restrooms heaven and hell! Don't miss the fine cuisine!

You wanna go where everybody knows your shame.

cash bar. ATM inside.

Re: “F.O.L.K. Festival

Auction lovers - take note. There is an auction at the festival each year, and it's a blast! There are many items up for bid this year, like a plush armchair from Mattress and Sofa Warehouse ($359 value), glider ride from Stowe Soaring, scenic plane ride for 3 from Lakeview Aviation, passes to Story Land, Jay Peak Pump House passes, and much more!

Re: “Café Mediterano

Cafe Mediterano has the best ćevapi, rice, lamb, homemade baked breads, and baklava around. If you get any of the platters, you will leave stuffed! The ambiance is simple, but Stella is always on tap, and Barney (owner) always takes time to chat with you. I recently had a party and had it catered by Cafe Mediterano as well. Everyone that came raved about the food, everybody. Anyway, do yourself a favor and try out some of the best food in Chittenden County!

Re: “Casa Aguilera Trading Company

Just happened to be in St. J. this weekend and stumbled across Casa Aguilera on the way to see the Eric Aho show at Catamount Arts. The smoker parked out front was a very good sign. Anyway, we had an absolutely superb lunch of brisket tacos along with the wicked maple bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers. St. J. is a pretty good drive from my house, but I'll be returning as often as possible when I'm jonesing for actual Mexican food — easily the most authentic Mexican restaurant in the state.

Re: “Alive & Dead Fest

Alive & Dead Fest is bringing great tribute bands and new talent to play the songs that we all love. These bands represent many different styles and will be playing their favorite “Dead” tunes and their own material. Come and join the family for 3 days of Grateful bliss. Camp with us and enjoy the beauty of Prospect Mountain in Woodford, Vermont. Its just 15 minutes from Bennington, 1.25 hours from Albany, 1.5 hours from North Hampton, 2.75 hours from Boston and 3.5 hours from NYC. While enjoying a relaxing weekend at our mountain paradise, listen to lots of great bands, playing on 2 stages and try our various food vendors on site.

Re: “Trattoria Delia

Great place for a date! My fiance and I had dinner at the bar for our "date night". A lot of fun, great service and food. One constructive criticism however, not a lot of meat dishes. Just veal, rabbit (no thanks) and one steak option. Would like to see one chicken and one pork dish added to the entrees. We have eaten here many times, quality of food and of service is always consistently high.

Re: “Erica's American Diner

The Country Pantry is sadly long gone and sorely missed and we've only eaten once during the next 4 owners but today 7/18/16 my wife and I decided to "give Erica's a try". My rating reflects the awesome breakfasts we were served. I had home made corned beef and hash with eggs. The hash was NOT out of a can but personally prepared by Ron, the owner, and it was remarkable. My wife had the eggs with sausage and sausage biscuit gravy and a "Mimosa". I tried hers also and it was nearly a fight. I plan on working my way through the menu. BTW - I'm 70 years old and have NEVER posted a review of ANYTHING in my life, so I'd say this must have gotten my attention.

So I heard you own an Ice cream scoop place right next door. What is that place called again?

Re: “Roger Weingarten

I LOVED this beautiful show of Roger Weingarten's digital art and a few very entertaining sculptures. The first wonderful thing that blew me away was the saturated jewel-toned color to be found throughout the framed art. Then, as I looked more closely and carefully, I found that amazing images seemed to keep popping out and surprising me in almost every piece. The show seemed to have been hung in such a way as to provide a "flow" from one piece to the next with the variety of mood and subject making the viewer want to find out "what's next".
