Twiggs is ok, not great. The service was excellent but I was certainly expecting more from the food. I got a hamburger and fries and a side garden salad. The salad was spring mix with cherry tomatoes (which I don't eat), raw white onions (which I don't eat) and croutons. Once I picked off the "garden vegetables" I was left with 50 cents worth of lettuce, 25 cents worth of croutons and bottled blue cheese dressing - for which I paid $5. The hamburger was dry and the texture was odd. The toppings were good and the fries were good. The waitress did not tell me that the fries were an upsell of $2 - which I didn't mind but I would have liked to have been told. I was excited to have a nice restaurant in St. Albans but I think the owners need to visit some other regional gastropubs to see how they are doing things. I spent less money at the Prohibition Pig and got far better food.
