Re: “Leunig's Bistro & Café

On Their Game!
I've been dining at Leunig's on and off for years, and have always seen it as a classic Burlington go-to for a reliable meal. The past two times I've visited I've been very very impressed by the quality of the food and its preparation. Someone (chef/owner?) has really upped the ante and has genuinely brought Leunig's to the top of the list of places to eat in Burlington. I had the filet last night. It was cooked to absolute perfection, the presentation was wonderful, and the accompanying sides were obviously chosen to compliment the steak. The size was very satisfying -- I've been quite disappointed with other restaurant's small portions. I struggled to finish it all, and I didn't even have an app. My husband had the seared tuna with lavender. Again, perfect. Congratulations, Leunigs, you've just raised the bar across town. Re: “Do Stores in Burlington Town Center Have to Recycle?

I was walking by the Bank St. loading dock area to the mall a few weeks ago and came upon a huge dumpster full of perfectly good display items from Hollister. We pulled out dozens of wooden hangers, metal pipes and fittings, cool dressmaker forms, and funky signage. There were at least 4 perfectly good plush chairs that had been intentionally cut so they couldn't be taken and enjoyed. It was disappointing, to say the least, that this business didn't make the effort to pass these items on to the many organizations in town who help people in need.
