Need more staff and smiling faces
The food is pretty good but having gone to Cody's from the opening I remain continually perplexed by their inability to properly staff the restaurant. It seems they are constantly understaffed, cranky, stressed out, and incapable of running a smooth operation. There sales would double if they fixed this problem. Some days I am tempted to tell the cranky owner to stay home and hire a manager that likes people. I think he needs a long vacation. Food: 3 Ambiance: 3 Service: 1

Gas station pizza
I went to Rustico's several times when it first opened and was impressed with the quality of ingredients but felt they were overpriced on their pizza's. I stopped going because it seemed the young daytime chef could not cook a pie. I returned today and while the lunch prices are lower, so is the quality. The dough was surely not fresh made, likely frozen, and likely factory made. That spongey, all to uniform gas station pizza texture and taste. I was so hungry I ate it but am now regretting not sending it back and leaving. Terry (Manager), I will not pay real dough for your fake dough moving forward! Food: 1 Ambiance: 2 Service: 4

Not quite there yet
I have now eaten here twice for two lunches at the bar and there is room for improvement. First the place looks great and has great ambience. My first lunch was a the fried chicken with waffle. Other than the hair that was stuck in my chicken ( I pulled it out of the chicken right in front of the bartender just after he put it down), the chicken was good, the greens great and the waffle a flop. The server made no attempt to deal with the situation other than he is a good listener. Between the steamed greens, and the chicken and gravy, and the vegetables inside the waffle, the waffle arrives like a wet sponge. My second lunch was the black and blue burger. While tasty, it is angus beef trucked in from parts unknown. The biggest issue I have is that with the removal of the double door system that Smokejacks had every time the door opens the temperature near the bar plummets. It was cold on a sunny 40 degree day. When winter really arrives with winds whipping up Main Street, this is going a problem. While the single door gives them a few extra seats who will want to sit at a seat that is cold every time somebody enters the restaurant. I really hope they can work out any issues as this is a great space and the restaurant has promise. Food: 3 Ambiance: 5 Service: 3
