Re: “Martone's Market & Café

I've returned to say the shrunken sandwiches are no more! They are back, and bigger and better than ever before. Wonderful! So happy to get my Martone's fix!

Re: “Plum Pudding Brings Holiday Meal to Blazing Conclusion

A pudding bowl/basin is available at King Arthur Flour and many other cookware shops. It makes it safe to leave the pudding in as the pudding can store for well over a year and still taste delicious. Also easy to heat up in a microwave if needed in a jiffy.

"Perhaps even the English need some spice sometimes."

Perhaps you don't know the most popular take-out for Brits is Indian food. Quite the contrary I find it's the Americans that need the spice.

Re: “Full House

Not bad
It's a hole in the wall but this place really isn't that bad. If you're craving junk, this is the place. I stick with a few favorites and never had a bad experience. Steamed chicken dumplings have a lovely ginger garlic aroma, and their Singapore noodles are really quite amazing. Huge portions. Great prices. Food: 4 Ambiance: 3 Service: 5

Re: “Martone's Market & Café

Shrunken sandwiches
I gave the food rating five stars because the quality of their food is still very good. But, BUT, they have definitely made their sandwiches smaller while increasing the prices. They deny it but it is very evident by the lesser amount of meat and the smaller loaf size. Before we used to always share a sandwich but now it's so much smaller it doesn't quite do us both for lunch. But, if you don't mind that, and want quality ingredients in a $10 sandwich, this is the place for you. Food: 5 Ambiance: 4 Service: 5
