Re: “'Mister Sister' Controversy Leads to Pride Center of Vermont Resignations

How disappointing. This is likely misplaced anger that should be focused on DC, not Winooski! If people quit a nonorofit board based on something that has ZERO to do with the nonprofit organization, I'm thinking that the nonprofit may be better able to focus on their actual work moving forward. I'm surprised they didn't quit following the Trump victory because the nonprofit didn't speak out loudly enough against him. Trump's victory has a *bit* more importance than the name of a bar in Winooski. Perhaps the bar name should be "Butthurtz." Double entendre, anyone?

Re: “Rebels No More: SBHS Student Isaiah Hines on the End of the Rebels Nickname

I LOVE the snarky idea of the South Burlington Empire, with a huge round space ship as the mascot!

Re: “Amid Protesters, Vermont Electors Cast Votes for Clinton

sadly, everyone has forgotten that there are more than two people that exist. There are more people in the USA than Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump. Electors vote for whomever they want.

Re: “Snooze Alarm: Vermont Democrats' Sleepy Gubernatorial Race

Luckily, my panties remained bunchless. But I was annoyed at myself for falling for this as a legitimate survey. It reminds me of DNC "surveys" that are nothing more than fundraising appeals. I'm sure all parties do this.

Re: “Snooze Alarm: Vermont Democrats' Sleepy Gubernatorial Race

I just got what seemed like a legit political polling call form Long River Research. But it was from Phil Scott's campaign saying biased things about the democratic candidates, and asking me if these "facts" would make me more of less inclined to vote for them. It then asked me if I would vote for each of them against Scott. This made me SURE that I won't be voting for Phil Scott. I'd rather vote for the evil "tax and spend liberal," the person who didn't do as much as possible following Irene, or the candidate whose wife and children live in Norway. (The last fact DID surprise me, if it's true.) The woman on the phone was so pleasant, I didn't want to hang up on her, but Phil Scott owes me 20 minutes of my life back!

Re: “Utah Engineer Hires Local PR Firm to Pave the Way for Vermont Settlement

Thank god for "rural character" policies in the towns involved. Sharon currently has about 1500 residents. 20,000 more won't fit with anyone's idea of "rural nature." It would make Sharon the second largest municipality in the state. No thanks.
