My sister was murdered after leaving a mental health facility. Our family asked that she be kept in the facility longer than two weeks. The doctor in charge said it would take too long to go before a judge to get her committed longer. She was psychotic and had refused to eat for days. They told her if she ate, they would release her. She ate a yogurt and was released on her own without telling any family. She is dead. This happened in New York.

This is a disgrace. Not acceptable are all. It is absolutely fear mongering. Public school is not a place for anything of this sort where children's lives are in the balance. It is sickening and should not be tolerated.
