Re: “The Parmelee Post: Whiny Resident Wins Chance to Operate City Plow Himself

Wow a Parmelee Post offering that nobody is complaining about (so far). Perhaps instead of making those that complain about snow clearing services do it themselves , you could roust those who hate attempts at humor and make them write their own brilliant prose.

Re: “Spacious New Digs for Vermont Artisan Coffee & Tea

Well reasoned post Paco but what does Act 250 have to do with reason ? This statute has become a huge work project for the environment crowd giving employment to a horde of lawyers and "professionals" in this industry . It also allows those that don't wish competition to stifle new growth by engaging in obstructionist tactics. The overall protection of Vermont has been sacrificed to a patchwork process where project success depends on your financial ability to wait out roadblocks .

Getting back to Stowe and Rt 100 , this is a problem that sadly never gets better . Combined with the Mountain Road (Rt 108) , these roads are never improved except for a little tinkering . Traffic has grown ,especially large trucks and there has been no action to improve the situation . In fact things have gotten worse .

Re: “Not So Fast: Opposition to Appeal Burlington Town Center Permit

I had to smile at the picture of the old hippies . They look like they are celebrating their protest or a good bowel movement . Don't know which would make this crowd happier .

Re: “'Til Death Do Us Pay: Legislators Consider Divorcing Alimony Law

Well Martin , I considered your story . Better 15 years of alimony then forever and ever . This would actually be an improvement for Sue . Maybe not a great improvement but an improvement none the less .

Re: “Public Service Board Proposes Stricter Wind Regulations

I'm conflicted but perhaps the pendulum had swung too far towards wind farms in the past . I'm glad the wind lobby's girl Sue Minter lost the election . Otherwise David Blittersdorf might of had an office next to hers .

Re: “Middlebury, Police to Investigate Violent Protest of Murray Lecture

I wonder why Professor Allison Stanger has not made a criminal complaint . Has school president Patton or her own misguided sense of social justice stopped her from pursuing the members of this mob ? She was harmed protecting a man whose opinions she greatly disagreed with . That is very noble . Yet if Stanger does not pursue criminal justice then she will be abetting these thugs .
