Re: “'TV T.J.' Donovan: The Likely Next AG Pushes Criminal Justice Reform

Maybe Mr Donovan can reign in Bennington County State's Attorney Erica Marthage who seems to be all about kicking people when they are down . Perhaps he can show her the error of her vindictive ways .

Normally I wouldn't support such a nakedly ambitious politico but in this case I'll wave my suspicions .
Love the fact that Donovan's favorite group is the Tragically Hip .

Re: “Ethicists Consider the Rights and Wrongs of Food Systems

What are the ethical implications of dumpster diving farmed shrimp ?
Shopping for food must be exhausting for you very special holier then thou's, what with all these ethical quandaries . I am more concerned with feeding my family .

Re: “Vermont Democrats Slam Scott's Corporate Cash, Defend Their Own

"This is why the Vermont Progressive Party refuses corporate donations." ???
Isn't that special . Exactly when will they refuse to endorse candidates who run as both Democrats and Progressive's . Talk about sanctimonious .

Re: “Former Burlington College President Unloads on Board, Jane Sanders

For the most part I agree with Ms. Moore's points . She is however off base when it comes to accusing People’s United Bank of being improperly influenced by O’Meara Sanders’ status . The bank chose to bankroll the school based on the collateral , namely prime Burlington real estate . The idea of a bank being bullied into a loan is laughable . Perhaps the bank believed the were dealing with a respected academic institution , not a gong show .

Re: “Brothers' Keeper: A Mom Wants a Dealer to Pay for Her Sons' Overdose Deaths

Sad story . My sympathies to the Thibaults . It's too bad you didn't discover your sons drug use but unfortunately this is not surprising . Drug users usually hide their habits well especially with their parents and family's.

I am disappointed that it took 7days hundreds of words to put a name , Bobby Robidoux , to the suspected drug dealer selling spiked heroin . Are you afraid of slandering him ?

As for the professor , guns and motorcycles are not illegal . Additionally if either of these products had been altered to vastly increase the potential death of their users , yes you would be responsible for any resulting deaths , You can only shake your head at the Professor Sands of the world where everything is a law school debate .

Re: “Amid Turmoil, Sanders Launches 'Our Revolution' Political Group

What a great collection of smirky nasty comments . On the run , Bernie is trying to figure out where he goes from here . He is understandably trying to figure out how to advance his political beliefs and goals going forward . The same beliefs he has been fighting for for many years and looking to building a legacy .

At the same time he is 74 and looking to his own future . In his case it is staying in Vermont and purchasing a home for himself , his wife and their extended family . This is a sin ?

He isn't perfect , far from it . I aggressively disagree with many of his positions . Yet he deserves common courtesy and respect . I have never doubted his sincerity . Good luck Bernie .

Re: “Takeover of Burlington Labs Will Get Fast-Track Review

Oh so many red flags here ! This is not a service station or a corner store . Health and safety must be paramount ,NOT making sure that Burlington Labs continues to operate . This 30 day deadline should be noted but perhaps Vermont does not need a medical lab with the stench of fraud and incompetence . I'd like to know why Mr Casarico will have any part in this company going forward . The membership of the Green Mountain Care Board should also be examined .
Let's hope this doesn't become another Ariel Quiros and Bill Stenger., Jay Peak fiasco where the promise of jobs and Vermont first blinded officials to the murk below .
