If you're looking for "I Spys," dating or LTRs, this is your scene.
If you're looking for full-on kink or group play, you'll get what you need here.
I love the homey feel of Nunsies. This place is a true Neighborhood Kitchen. Great Soups! And i love seeing local artists given opportunity to exhibit their artwork. I'm glad this is a cafe without wi-fi. Nice place to talk, read and enjoy the bright light, plants, art and the savory and sweet eats. Thank you Christine and Paul!
$1000 1 BR apartments is not what I call affordable. This road leads to a rich gated city.
A dose of modern sense and the highest recognized safety measures is what this out-dated project needs. Wake up, look around, and understand what is already adopted by our very own State of Vermont -in Montpelier, Brattleboro, Manchester, the list is long and growing: roundabouts are replacing traffic lights.
Reason: less fatalities.
The proof is in decade plus of local, national and international record keeping.
This is why you are seeing roundabouts popping up in your travels.
Demand modern safety requirements. This is outrageous to be presenting a design that has traffic lights when we know that roundabouts already have proven themselves to reduce fatalities.
Amazes me. Our Citizenry of Burlington is witnessing a proposal that is $40 million dollars of lame.
I commute by bicycle, everywhere around town. This design is hardly much more than new paving. The design shows a portion of new shared use path and repaving the same old "sharrow" biker commute lanes. Bikers will continue to 'share' the same lane as automobiles- a tight, frightening squeeze between getting doored or getting hit by a truck! This is what this 43 million dollar project is "providing": a repaving job, more pollution into Lake Champlain, and more traffic on an already congested street.
Adding more road closer to the lake is a terrible idea, a risk to the health of Lake Champlain with all the toxic and hazardous soils that are best left untouched. This plan risks polluting the Lake while pandering to solo occupancy vehicle drivers looking for the easy life.
Building the connector will double the shit show of traffic you are talking about on Pine Street already.
Do you have any friends who use this route that can show you the actual plan documents - the funneling 189 traffic via this "parkway" onto Lakeside? This Parkway is nothing more than a Super Driveway, funneling traffic into the middle of Pine.
Have you seen the projected rise in population due to the housing projects going up now, and in the pipeline everywhere in the City where housing is allowed? How many of these folks moving into town, adding to our population are going to be driving a car?
I have yet to see this impact study, and here we are seeing a Supreme Court ruling based on stale numbers.
Liam, have you heard of the "Google Effect"? Google's offices outside the City proper, workers who live in the city drive to work outside the city.
Same issue, traffic, pollution, cars. Just reversed.
When are you going to get it straight and recognize the character and economy of light-manufacturing in our City proper is a cultural and an economic benefit?
I'd like to watch you to go tell Blodgett to get lost.
You might want a 52 year old Cadillac, but this 52 year old Highway design is way out of touch with reality.
First, the City is doing a half-assed job of safe soil excavation and storage from Brownfield -Real-Estate Construction projects. ( http://www.wptz.com/news/contaminated-dirt…)
and see the Aug.4,2015 CCTV Live at 5:25 show, guest Hugo Matinez Cazon, VT Dept of Environmental Conservation ( https://www.cctv.org/watch-tv/programs/dev… ).
The City of Burlington's Real Estate Construction-Waterfront projects must drastically do a 180 degree turn around, immediately, and learn how to handle contaminated soils- i.e. stop digging up PCB infused toxic soils dumping in Public Parks.
Second, The current "parkway" plan phasing , is to build something from the 289 and dumping traffic onto Lakeside. Period.
This is now being dubbed "THE SUPERDRIVEWAY" yet another new name for this HALF CENTURY OLD ADIE.
This is Phase one.
Phase 2: rip up pine street, repave, re-sidewalk, etc, and watch small business drop like flies as construction delays create a micro disaster zone.
Phase 3, Starbucks replaces a favorite Cafe, and the rest of Generica comes rushing in.
