Re: “Walters: Baruth to Propose Waiting Period for Gun Purchases

"Baruth wrote he had "been working on a package of ... proposals for several months." He says that other provisions would ban 3D printing of guns and require that gun owners store their weapons safely."

He's been working on these things for months. We have crossed the line of the slippery slope. Baruth proves what we've been saying all along. They got a foot in the door. NOW is the time to slam the door on their feet!

"He plans to propose banning the act of printing a gun and the dissemination of information on how to make a gun."

And Mr. Brownshirt Baruth now wants to control freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and the dissemination of ideas.

Re: “Walters: Ehlers Dances Around Gun Restrictions

Make no mistake, this IS a battle for our way of life! For the culture that we all hold dear!

Remember! If you are not in a contested primary please pick up a democratic ballot and WRITE IN John Rogers for governor of the state of Vermont and don't forget to darken in the circle.

Let's clean out Montpelier! In my opinion, take the democratic ballot and Vote for ANYONE other than those who constantly screw us! We have RIGHTS! They have no right to infringe upon them. And to continue down this path of progressive/liberal/democratic folly will destroy us and our way of life!

My intention is to NOT vote for anyone on that democratic ticket who is;
1) the incumbant
2) outspokenly anti-constitutional

We are Vermont!

John is the most qualified candidate that we have to serve as governor of the state of Vermont!

Re: “Walters: Ehlers Dances Around Gun Restrictions

Act 94 MUST be repealed in it's entirety! The entire law is unconstitutional! It will be struck down, at taxpayer expense. And the liberal/democrat/progressive faction of our legislature knew that. But being an election year, they felt they had to "do something". Well they did. They infringed on our rights. Violated our Constitution. Violated their oaths of office. Lost any credibility. Proved beyond any doubt that they have no idea what they're talking about when it comes to either firearms or safety. Remember, this was supposed to be about school safety. None of it has made anyone, let alone any school safer. In fact, it endangers citizens by making it far more costly and difficult to exercise our God given right to self defence. Clean them all out! If they voted yes, it is our obligation to not give them a single vote in the primary! If they make it past that stage, vote them out in November!

Re: “In Race for Governor, Sen. John Rodgers Stands His Ground

Ms. genesis_44, I fail to see how my comment can be even remotely construed as chauvinistic. Because I said he's a very real man? That had no bearing on Mr. Hallquist. But funny that you seem to have read it that way apparently. My indication was that he's a very real person. I should have known someone would be offended by the gender reference. For not thinking ahead and accounting for those who would, I apologize. My post was written in the heat of the moment. With the passion I feel about the issue. These days, in the social climate the progressives/democrats/liberals (all the same really) have brought about, someone is always offended. That's one of the bigger problems our society is dealing with these days. Being politically correct, is not the same as being correct.

Re: “In Race for Governor, Sen. John Rodgers Stands His Ground

I think that John Rodgers is our only hope in Vermont. He's the only "politician" who is also a very real man. Facing the same trials and taxes and infringements that the rest of us are at the hands of knee-jerk reactions to any perceived wave of support that might be had. Whether ill-advised or not. Vermont politicians are not the thinking, logical, deliberative body it was intended to be. Instead they have become a bunch of thieving, manipulative conniving two-faced con artists. At least with John, you know where you stand. In plain language. He has a sense of honor. Something hard to find in Montpelier these days. Watch the videos. Ponder it. Consider what you want for the Vermont of the future. Do you want a Vermont where we can all just let each other be? Stable government with real leadership who will always tell it to you straight? Like we all THOUGHT Phil Scott was? Or do you want more government control on your private life? More taxes. Less opportunity? And more important than any of that, Do you want HONOR? Or more of the "total bullshit"?

Re: “Betrayed: Can Gun-Rights Activists 'Take Back Vermont'?

Lalonde says he owns several firearms? Yet he had no idea during questioning on the house floor what he was even talking about. Hmmmmm. Just another uninformed politician doing what those liars always do. Saying to voters that emotion and lies trump facts and reason. Hell, he couldnt even get his lies straight.
