Beer Cocktail #4: Meet the Beer-Ini

PeachWe're getting amped up for tonight's Booze 'n' Brews: Meet the Beer Cocktail event at Red Square. Starting at 6 p.m., the bartenders will be pouring five different libations, all based around a Wolaver's or Otter Creek beer; they'll be serving half-pours, too, for those who'd like to dabble before they commit. At 7 p.m., Otter Creek head brewer Mike Gerhart will take the stage to chat about his line of brews as well as the beer cocktail trend.

What better way to repurpose his Wolaver's Wildflower Wheat, we thought, than inside a Beer-Ini — a fruity twist on the brunch libation that blends pureed fresh peaches, simple syrup, and beer in place of Champagne. It may be grey and drizzly out, but Red Square will conjure spring by dropping a raspberry on top. Who knows, maybe the sun will come out?

A little later today, get the scoop about On the Seventh Day, our custom beer cocktail. And then we'll see you at Red Square!
