Ruining the Rokeby?

Posted on Fri, Jun 17, 2005 at 6:09 PM

I got an email from the director of the Rokeby Museum today, taking issue with my Rokeby write-up in Not So Hot Spots in this week's Seven Days. She said she was disappointed with the coverage, and reports that she's been getting angry phone calls (from the Museum's board?) about the story.

I bring it up because I'm kinda surprised. I thought the story would make people want to visit the Rokeby, which is one of my favorite VT tourist attractions. What did you think, those of you who read it? Bonus brownie points for anyone who actually goes to the museum because of the article and comments on it.

While we champion free speech, facts are a matter of life and death during the coronavirus pandemic, and right now Seven Days is prioritizing the production of responsible journalism over moderating online debates between readers.
