Got an email from a Vermont blogger asking if anyone local is organizing a relief effort for the folks in New Orleans and surrounding areas. I haven't heard anything. Anyone else have info?
UPDATE: Here's a guy who's actually blogging about the scene from a hotel in New Orleans. Very scary stuff. The Interdictor is a good example of how a citizen media can supplement us folks in the press, who really can't be everywhere. Thanks to Bill at Candleblog, who has some other Katrina-related links.
UPDATE II: Julia Lerman of Don't Be Iffy posts a list of items and drop-off sites for hurricane relief. The VT National Guard will bring stuff down, as they're being deployed to help.
