WOPR and 74627.1020

I'm immersed in nostalgia right now, writing about Centipede and vintage video game machines, so I was particularly susceptible to Burlingtonian Matt G. Paradise's latest historical post about his early Internet adventures. Any post that starts out with WOPR, or Joshua, as WarGames fans know him/it, has my immediate attention.

Matty the Greek had a modem and was online back in 1984, which makes him a total dweeb, and also indescribably cool. Says our favorite local Satanist:
