Reason # 47879279 to like small local newspapers

Posted By on Tue, Nov 8, 2005 at 10:13 AM

I surf around on Vermont media websites when I have a few free moments, and today I stopped by the site for the Williston Observer. I'm just tickled that one of the top stories this week is Williston Family Adopts Second Chinese Daughter. Who else would write that story? And yet, it's probably interesting to people in Williston. Neat. Those guys won a bunch of awards from the Vermont Press Association, too.

Also, I'd like to point out the question o' the week on the top of the homepage — "Do you know how to properly use the roundabout (traffic circle) in Maple Tree Place?" Answers next week!
