Pat Hejny update

Posted By on Fri, Dec 9, 2005 at 9:22 AM

Pat Hejny, aka Pat Political, was hospitalized a week ago following a serious stroke. Her son, Rama, has been updating Pat's blog in the comments thread of her last post. Here's the latest:

My mom will be moving across the street to the Berlin Nursing Home sometime today (Friday, 12/9).

She is now in end of life care with full prority given to comfort.Part of that comfort is seeing family, friends and co workers ... allare invited to visit.

Those of you who know Pat will be glad to know she bounced back wellenough to regain control of her life and make her own decisionsregarding her health care.

Pat is a really remarkable lady. My thoughts and prayers are with her.

Since 2014, Seven Days has allowed readers to comment on all stories posted on our website. While we’ve appreciated the suggestions and insights, the time has come to shut them down — at least temporarily.

While we champion free speech, facts are a matter of life and death during the coronavirus pandemic, and right now Seven Days is prioritizing the production of responsible journalism over moderating online debates between readers.

To criticize, correct or praise our reporting, please send us a letter to the editor. Or send us a tip. We’ll check it out and report the results.

Online comments may return when we have better tech tools for managing them. Thanks for reading.
