Looky here — an African bloggers conference happening next month in South Africa. Cool.
Speaking of blogging conferences, I'm putting together this 3rd annual blogger meetup thingy in October — with help from Bill Simmon at www.candleblog.com Candleblog — and I'm wondering if people have suggestions. The tentative date is Saturday October 21. Location TBA. Mark yer calendars now.
Last year we had it at the Langdon Street Cafe in Montpelier. Read all about the fun we had here. I'm wondering if this year we should try to have it somewhere else. Burlington, mayhap? St. Johnsbury? Brattleboro? In a missile silo? I haven't approached anyone yet, as I'm still trying to figure out what we should do. Like, should it be a real conference, with speakers or a panel or something? I bet we could get somebody at least marginally interesting if I start working on it now.
As always, this event will be free and open to any and all Vermont bloggers and their friends, relatives, countrymen, arch-nemises and long lost loves. Surely this includes you...
