Last summer, my friend Jules and I taped a 40-minute interview for the StoryCorps project when one of their mobile airstream trailer recording booths was in Burlington (photo of our recording session courtesy of Matthew Thorsen). I wrote about the experience in Seven Days, and an edited segment from the recording was on Vermont Public Radio.
Yesterday a producer from StoryCorps called to tell me that a different, re-edited segment will be aired on NPR next Friday, Dec. 29th, during the regular StoryCorps slot on Morning Edition. I think it airs between 8 and 9 a.m. Yay! We made the cut!

Since 2014, Seven Days has allowed readers to comment on all stories posted on our website. While we’ve appreciated the suggestions and insights, the time has come to shut them down — at least temporarily.
While we champion free speech, facts are a matter of life and death during the coronavirus pandemic, and right now Seven Days is prioritizing the production of responsible journalism over moderating online debates between readers.
