Monday, October 29
- Hurricane Sandy is forecast to slam into Vermont today, packing 50-mph winds and several inches of rain. So before you do anything, take down your political lawn signs!
- "Charlie, Ernie and Lisa" nab a pair of political guests this morning on WVMT 620 AM. At 8:10 a.m., Democratic Attorney General Bill Sorrell steps up to the mic, and at 8:40 a.m., it's Republican gubernatorial candidate Randy Brock.
- At noon, Brock is the guest on Vermont Public Radio's "Vermont Edition," and takes your phone calls. Listen live.
- At 5:25 p.m., the Ward 1 candidates vying to replace Ed Adrian on the Burlington City Council — Democrat Kevin Worden and Progressive Alison Segar — debate live on Channel 17 (CCTV). Stream it live.
- CANCELLED -- At 7 p.m., the Burlington City Council will take up a resolution by Councilor Vince Brennan (P-Ward 3) to hire an independent investigator (for as much as $10,000!) to review Burlington police conduct during the July 29 protest that ended in cops firing pepper-balls into a crowd of demonstrators.

Tuesday, October 30
- At 7:30 a.m., Republican Lt. Gov. Phil Scott speaks to the Waterbury Chamber of Commerce, at the senior center on Stowe Street.
- CANCELLED -- At 7 p.m., the Vermont Workers Center hosts the last of its "Put People First" candidate forums at the BFA Performing Arts Center, 71 S. Main St. in St. Albans. Slated to attend are: Franklin County state Senate candidates Caroline Bright, Don Collins and Judith McLaughlin; U.S. Senate candidate Peter Moss; and Franklin County state House candidates Kathleen Keenan, Mike McCarthy, Steve Beyer, Bob Irish and Cindy Weed.
Wednesday, October 31
- It's Halloween! We suggest skipping the unfunny political costume and going as Honey Boo Boo. But if the obvious political Halloween costume is your thing, US News and HuffPo have you covered with ideas aplenty.
- Today is also the last day to register to vote before Election Day. Get to your clerk's office before 5 p.m.
- At 8:30 a.m., Phil Scott speaks at the Downs, Rachlin, Martin Leadership Meeting, at 119 Main St. in Burlington.
- At 9:10 a.m., Democratic Gov. Peter Shumlin is the guest on "The Mark Johnson Show" on WDEV 96.1 FM, and takes your calls. Wanna stump the candidate? This may be your last chance. Listen live.
- At 11 a.m., Shumlin will hold his weekly press conference at a location to be determined.
- At noon, Shumlin is the guest on "Vermont Edition," and takes your calls. Listen live.
Thursday, November 1
- At 7:10 a.m., Republican Lt. Gov. Phil Scott is on "Charlie, Ernie and Lisa," WVMT 620 AM.
- At 1 p.m., Shumlin will be in Brattleboro to greet students at Brattleboro Union High School. We assume he knows most of them can't vote yet.
- At 7 p.m., the Burlington Ward 6 NPA hosts a Chittenden County candidate forum at the Greek Orthodox Church, 600 S. Willard St. State Senate candidates debate at 7:35 p.m., and House candidates face off at 8:25 p.m. Our own Paul Heintz moderates.
Friday, November 2
- At noon on "Vermont Edition" it's the last reporters' roundtable before Election Day. Lineup TBD.
- And at 7 p.m., as always, catch "Vermont This Week" on Vermont Public Television — also the last hurrah before the election. Guests TBD as well.
Saturday, November 3
- Daylight savings time ends. Don't forget to turn your clocks back before bed!
Sunday, November 4
- At 7 p.m., Vermont Democrats U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders' re-election campaign holds a "get out the vote" rally at Montpelier High School. Sanders (an independent who caucuses with Dems in DC) and Gov. Shumlin will attend, with music by Jon Gailmor.
