Once Upon A Child — The store’s name is a double entendre: It buys “gently used” children’s clothing, furniture, toys and other necessities and sells them to, in the case of the Williston outlet, bargain-conscious Vermonters. What savvy parent isn’t seeking good deals on items for tots who grow up all too fast? When they do, mom and dad can offload those too-small clothes and highchairs back at Once Upon a Child. What goes around, comes around. That must be why the store’s motto is “Buy. Sell. Repeat.”
