Beverage Warehouse — Beverage Warehouse carries wines and liquors, but folks come in droves for one thing: beer. The shop releases in-demand Heady Topper and Lawson’s Finest Liquids multiple times a week, but it also stocks 1,400 other unique brews. The rarest — including a lambic from Belgium’s Cantillon — age in a beer cave in anticipation of special releases. Need a last-minute keg for that party? The warehouse keeps 35 barrels on hand, with hundreds more available with a little notice. And if there’s a hot — er, cold — new Vermont brew coming out, beer geeks know the Bevie will have it. That’s because owner Jennifer Swiatek — who began her career here at age 15 in bottle redemption and ice bagging — is one of the state’s most passionate advocates of local beer. Her mission is not just to sell the stuff but to educate and enlighten the drinking public.
