On the heels of Mardi Gras, BarnArts Center for the Arts presents an evening of food, music and merriment with New Orleans flair. For the eighth year, Vermonters shake off the winter blues at the Masquerade Jazz & Funk Winter Music Carnival. Costumed revelers cut a rug to tunes by the jazz duo Michael Zsoldos and Jason Ennis, local quintet the Sultans of Soul, and the Woodstock Union High School Jazz-Funk Band (pictured). Finally, the Wanda Houston Band of western Massachusetts takes the stage for a funkified and highly danceable set. A taco bar, photo booth and mask-making station top off the festivities.
