If you think the James Beard Awards are all about restaurants with white tablecloths, think again. Each year, the foundation pays tribute to a handful of casual restaurants designated as “American Classics.” This year, Al’s French Frys is among the honorees.
The Burlington resto will be celebrated at the awards ceremony, which takes place at Lincoln Center on May 3.
