We added something new this year, too — a mini basketball game with 30-second shoot-outs that proved very popular with Cats fans of all ages. I snapped this pic of UVM's mascot, Rally, cheering on some of our players.
Sadly, the Cats lost the game in the final second. UVM had just tied up the score — and all the fans in the stands were on their feet, cheering — when Hartford's Nate Sikma hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer, putting the Hawks up 61-58. What a heartbreaker! The whole crowd deflated instantly.
There's a silver lining for a few lucky audience members, though. By signing up for the Wee-Mail and playing our mini b-ball game, Heather Young, Tyler Willard, Trey Smith and Jen Burt won four passes each to Jay Peak's Pump House Indoor Waterpark. Congratulations also to our high scorers, Makenna (23), Reese (29) and Griffin (32).
Hope the Cats have better luck in the playoffs!
