Anna D. Leroux, age 83 years, died early Friday morning September 20, 2013, at the St. Albans Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center with her loving son Chris by her side.
Born in Enosburgh on November 28, 1929, she was the daughter of the late William and Eunice (Elwood) Rushlow. She attended Enosburgh High School. For more than 50 years Anna was employed by the former Fonda Container Corporation in St. Albans City.
Anna was loved by all of her nieces and nephews and their children. She had Chris as her son, but she was like a second mother and grandmother to all. She loved her beautiful flowers and worked many hours with her sister Ethel in the flower gardens and kept expanding them every year. She enjoyed walking and going to coffee to see her friends.
Anna had many friends whom she loved and always had a kind word for all. She made friends so very easily, and loved to hear about what was going on in their lives and was also concerned about their children and grandchildren. She listened to people and always remembered what was important to them.
Anna will always be remembered for her sense of humor and the many stories that meant so much to all of us. We had so much fun on our shopping and once a year trips, we laughed all the way.
Anna's son Chris was born in 1960 and he was always her first thought in the morning and her last thought at night. Chris took wonderful care of his mother. She said "he made her so proud."
She leaves her son, Christopher Leroux of Swanton; two sisters, Ethel Chapple of Swanton and Charlotte Deuso and husband Joseph of Mass; her brother Richard Rushlow and his wife Elaine of Swanton and a brother-in-law, Howard Deuso of Enosburgh and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Anna was predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth Deuso; two brothers, Kenneth Rushlow and his wife Shirley and Buster Rushlow; sister,
