Horst E. Rodies, of Arlington, Vermont, died on May 9, 2018, at the age of 93. He is survived by 4 children, 3 grandchildren, 2 sisters, and a circle of close friends. After a long career as a psychologist, Horst devoted himself to art. His paintings and stained glass creations can be seen in homes throughout the States, from Vermont to California, and in Europe. A civil rights activist, he represented Arlington in 1964’s Freedom Summer. Ever the Renaissance man, Horst loved nature, Shakespeare, Bach, homemade crepes, and the New England Patriots. A memorial service will be held in late summer.
