Renée Helen Boucher, age 23 years, died unexpectedly Sunday June 30, 2013.
Born in St. Albans, Vermont on January 13, 1990, she was the daughter of Denis and Deborah (Toof) Boucher. Renée was a 2008 graduate of Missisquoi Valley Union High School and participated in several varsity sports as well as most of the schools extracurricular activities. Over the past several years she worked at least two jobs at a time while continuing her education attending Wagner College on Staten Island, Champlain College, Johnson State College and Community College of Vermont.
Since high school Renée's main focus in life was working and helping people in need. She worked in several area schools concentrating on the education and development of young people, especially those with special needs. At the time of her death she was working in administration for the family business, G. Boucher Fertilizer and Boucher Farm. She had great love and sense of pride for her family, friends and pets. Renée was always willing to be a friend and make a friend.
Besides her parents, Denis and Deborah Boucher of Highgate Center, Renée leaves her sister, Cassandra Boucher and special friend Dustin Circe; paternal grandparents, Gilbert and Gemma Boucher of Highgate Center; maternal grandparents, Ann Clark and Loren Lothian of Franklin and Richard and Carolyn Toof of Essex Junction; aunts and uncles, Dan and Dawn Boucher, Giles and Kim Boucher (Godparents), Patrick Boucher and fiancée Sharon Stafford, Pam Toof, Mark and Melissa Toof, Eric and Dawne Meyers, Laurie Serianni and Richard and Pauline Serianni; cousins, Kevin, Paige, Kayleigh, Brooke, Saige, Jack, Matt and Megan. Renee is also survived by very special family friends and extended family, Sister Mary Ellen Theriault, OSU of Weston and Tim, Martha, Danielle and Desiree Magnant of Franklin.
Renée was predeceased by her very special friends, great uncle Father Maurice U. Boucher, SSE on August 23, 2009 and Sister Joan Sirtowt, OSU on June 11, 2010.
The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, July 5, 2013, at 11 a.m. from The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 65 Canada St., Swanton. Father Emmanuel I. Ajanma will be the celebrant and homilist. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Boucher family lot in St. Louis Roman Catholic Cemetery, Lamkin St., Highgate Center.
