Seven Daysies Winners: 2009

Published August 5, 2009 at 10:40 a.m.

We announced the winners of our annual Seven Daysies Readers' Picks in this week's paper, in a special "Section C."

Click here to view the results online.

Congrats to all of the winners, and thanks to everyone who voted. Feel free to leave a comment and tell us how you feel about the results. Remember — you picked 'em.

That is, with the exception of our "staff picks" — for the last couple of years, our staffers have gotten to suggest a few of our own categories, though often the winners wouldn't want to brag about having won (see Ken Picard's Best Candidate for Urban Renewal).

I chose a staff pick this year — Best Seven Days Reader-Contributor. The winner? Molly Hodgdon. She comments frequently here on Blurt as "Molly." Read my description to see how she earned this honor. Thanks, Molly, for keeping the conversation going.

From 2014-2020, Seven Days allowed readers to comment on all stories posted on our website. While we've appreciated the suggestions and insights, right now Seven Days is prioritizing our core mission — producing high-quality, responsible local journalism — over moderating online debates between readers.

To criticize, correct or praise our reporting, please send us a letter to the editor or send us a tip. We’ll check it out and report the results.

Online comments may return when we have better tech tools for managing them. Thanks for reading.
