Sizing Up Vermont: Unedited Audio

Published January 13, 2010 at 7:44 p.m.

For this week's cover story, writer Ken Picard spoke with Paul Cillo of the progressive-leaning Public Assets Institute and John McClaughry of the conservative Ethan Allen Institute about Vermont's $150 million budget deficit.

You can read our edited transcript of their conversation in "Sizing Up Vermont: Two big thinkers debate the budget crisis." Or you can listen to it for yourself online. Click here to listen to the 57 minute audio recording of the interview.

As you'll quickly discover, the conversation happened over a conference call. No actual pitchers of beer were consumed during the interview... at least, as far as we know.
