Re: “Movie Review: 'John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum' Is as Unwieldy as Its Title, but More Fun

No wonder integrity is so popular these days!

Re: “Catching the Big Picture With Fly Fisherman and Author Peter Shea

As they say, 10% of the fishermen catch 90% of the fish.

Re: “Walters: Vermont Senate Approves No-Nukes Resolution

Charlie,
I'm not dismayed per se, I just have to wonder about the mindset that lashes out at facts when they don't support someone's preferred narrative. It just seems delusional.

Re: “Stuck in Vermont: 13th Annual Queer and Allied Youth Summit in Chester

Thanks for asking Chris. I've been experimenting with shortening the videos to about 5 min in length. Partly to appeal to online viewers who seem to prefer shorter videos and also to make subtitle production easier (the longer the video, the more time it takes to make subtitles). Do you miss the older 8min video format?

Re: “Vermont House Adjourns, Senate Remains as Minimum Wage and Paid Leave Deal Collapses

Actually GiGrape, Ashe sounds more like the typical millennial progressive who thinks the only way is his way and compromise means everyone else does it his way. Just highlighting your stereotype comment from the other side. Republican, Democrat, progressive had nothing to do with it or acting like. His ego was to blame

Re: “Walters: Vermont Senate Approves No-Nukes Resolution

Patrick,
Don't be dismayed. Comments are more often disliked - you only got 3, and I've gotten dozens on posts of mine. You asked people to read a dense 45-page report, which they do not want to do. They disliked the idea of reading it, that's all. As you said, facts are facts.

Re: “Walters: Vermont Senate Approves No-Nukes Resolution

I'm curious. In my above comment I provided a link to a CRS report and a quote from same. And the comment received 3 (currently) "dislike"'s. What are you "disliking"? Don't get me wrong, I have no emotional investment in it, I'm just really wondering what possible offense a dry government report can give.

Re: “The Cannabis Catch-Up: Is Your CBD the Real Deal?

Sasha, Excellent article. Thank you. Please also let your readers know that CBD interferes with Coumadin a blood thinning agent which cardiac, stroke and other patients are taking to prevent clotting or a second myocardial infarction or stroke. Please also let your readers know that it is recommended that liver function tests be monitored in patients taking CBD. And that CBD/THC fed to livestock in France has been linked to birth defects. There is also some evidence that CBD can transform into THC in the acidity of the stomach and of course CBD often has THC and the concentration of THC is also unpredictable. So if you are taking CBD for psychosis it could re-trigger a THC addiction or could trigger a THC related psychotic or panic event. Of course THC is now linked to cardiac events and stroke so those patients must exercise extreme caution. CBD interferes with immunosuppressive drugs so those with solid organ transplants must be very careful not to lose their life saving kidney. CBD potentiates anti seizure medicine making the effect more powerful and the drug interferes with anesthesia so if you are planning out patient surgery (or are at risk for emergent surgery) best to lay off the CBD.

Re: “Walters: Montpelier to Seek Payment for Sanders Rally Costs

"Bernie's campaign should pay for any costs incurred by Montpelier for his rally"

Are you kidding? The cheap-ass dude still owes electric bills from the 1970s.

Re: “Vermont House Adjourns, Senate Remains as Minimum Wage and Paid Leave Deal Collapses

Perhaps the voters should remember this letdown when the next elections are held?

Re: “Vermont House Adjourns, Senate Remains as Minimum Wage and Paid Leave Deal Collapses

What this story doesnt mention is that Mitzi Johnson gave Ashe until noon to respond to her letter. An hour and a half later, no response.

Tim Ashe postured until the very end, and without a response according to VPR.

So now we have nothing. No minimum wage increase nor paid leave.

Thanks a lot Senator Ashe

With Democrats like these, who even needs a Republican governor?

Re: “Walters: Montpelier to Seek Payment for Sanders Rally Costs

Bernie's campaign should pay for any costs incurred by Montpelier for his rally . It is the correct thing to do.

By the way . . . did that deadbeat Trump ever pay Burlington for his rally at the Flynn back in 2016?

Re: “Walters: Vermont Senate Approves No-Nukes Resolution

I tend not to believe anyone here who uses a pseudonym.
We have the "sound of freedom" cited again. We have the blame on "liberals." We get it all here.
For one thing, this plane is unproven and hardly even works yet. So much for it saving our butts. Second thing: those who cherish the "sound of freedom" should enjoy what sounds they hear NOW because this thing will make them deaf. It's in the science. Here are facts: http://tinyurl.com/yylos8l2

Re: “Walters: Vermont Senate Approves No-Nukes Resolution

Truth be known and the actual fact is that the F35As are not being forced here against the will of the people at all. That's the kind of misinformation I expect from CNN and liberals. We embrace the sound of freedom and the arrival of this state of the art defense mechanism for the good of everyone.

Facts matter.

Re: “Cat’s Caucus: The Vermont Legislature in Vonnegut Land

Hi John, another cake? This one by Jane Kitchel. Didn't Senator White get in on the competition? You must be becoming an expert on cake evaluation by now John. The Vermont legislature is cake land and not much else.

Re: “Why Were There 13 Animal Kidneys at the Intervale?

The real question here is why was your dog off leash at the Intervale? There are explicit signs saying that is not allowed.

What is the point of the piece anyways? Take some personal responsibility for you and your dog's actions. The cops and general public have way more important things to do than hear about your inability to control your dog.

Re: “Piss Poor: Burlington Mulls Proposals for More Public Bathrooms

Critikboy, if you go outside Paris into the southeast there are public toilets that are self-cleaning. You pay a small fee and go in, use it and when you leave it rinses and cleans. I would be for that but it is not welcoming enough to the homeless population the progs want to welcome into Burlington, why invite tourists to help grow the economy when you can invite ones they will come up with ways to pay for them
