Re: “Album Review: Bostjan Zupancic, 'Nothing Special'

Thanks so much for taking the time to check this one out! I really appreciate the kind words as well as the honesty. Some folks have told me that they really enjoyed the tracks you didn't like, and disliked the tracks that you received positively, so, I guess it's a case of pleasing some of the people some of the time, although, to be frank, although I started out trying to make something to please listeners, I ended up just making this album as my own emotional outlet.
And wow, was 2017 a year of lots of different emotions.
I hope the above doesn't sound disingenuous. I really do greatly appreciate the attention, and I wouldn't be playing microtonal metal music if I didn't want to hear people's negative comments.
"Interesting Enough" has not been received well by critics, in general, which, I suppose is unsurprising, given the way the content is likely to be received. Yet, my musician friends have told me that they felt the song was very relate-able. Just for the record, it has nothing to do with anyone who has ever written any reviews I've actually read.

Re: “Album Review: Kelly Ravin, 'Engine'

Couldn't agree more with this. I personally think this is Kelly's strongest work to date, and I've told him so. Great record and his means of distribution - sending to anyone who wanted it - shows how important these songs and this music were and are to him.

Re: “Album Review: Eastern Mountain Time, 'Mountain Country'

Somewhere Gram Parsons is smiling. This sounds/feels like he never really left us. Thank you so much.

Re: “Album Review: Tiffany Couture, 'She Still Rises'

I've known Tiffany and her family my whole life. Her great grandmother and my mother we're best friends. I was one of the many people who where at the airport the day Tiffany arrived in her little pink dress. She has been loved by so many people. She has grown into such a beautiful singer and person.

Re: “Album Review: Lord Silky, 'We Used to Be Friends'

This isn't funny! Someone put some marijuanas in my coffee one morning and I went all loopy. I think it was one of my grandboys. They're always listening to this Lord Silkies band....

Re: “Album Review: Chad Hollister Band, 'Stop the World'

Wow! .... Jordan.....Wow-- I will try to keep this commentary classy because that rule obviously does not apply to your review. I did some due diligence on you. I wanted to make sure I was not judging you on a bad break up, boil lanced kinda day. However, I think you were having a bad day!

I PROMISE not to make this too cumbayaee, rainbowie or cabbage patch cuddly. His splendidly, I mean Splenda, no I mean Truvia like positive flair might be too tough for you to take. I am sure your horror show negative Nellie lyrics would be insightful.

Along with VPR, 2000+ screaming fans at Battery park, Tom Petty, Paul Simon, ZZ Top, Blues Traveler, and his 10 co-creating musicians.. I am a Chad Hollister fan. BTW-historical incredibly successful band analogies are an insult?

It sounds like he may not be your cup of Techno but seriously-- your RUDE! As a critic, is your goal to humiliate yourself. Thanks for the " Its vibrant horn and string arrangements are detailed and compelling. The guitar tones are perfectly calibrated, Hollister's vocals are strong and pristine, and an overall sheen suggests quality craftsmanship in the studio." However your "saccharine Schlock rock and diabetic coma ensuing comments-- REALLY? They pay you for that?

Your mommy issues bleed thru in this review and if you listened past your wax filled earbuds you might hear something that warms your callous soul We all feel the same about him. If you could hear past your Fox News reality show that was your spew, this was a despicable review of a successful local.

Todays tip REWIND & REPEAT! Try this one again! The masses that follow the Burlington born musician Chad Hollister around New England and this country disagree with your very inexperienced ear.

Re: “Album Review: Ben Dunham, 'Backline Collective'

The tag on this article for Ben is spelled incorrectly. It says Ben Durham, but should be "Ben Dunham".

Re: “Album Review: NODON, 'Covfefe EP'

Hmm, when I think of punk rock, I think of this sound. This band "No, Dawn" is really capturing the "essence", as it were, of what it means to be an anti-political punker. I just truly enjoy how they dislike politics on the whole.

Re: “Album Review: Bostjan Zupancic, 'MicroMetal Volume II'

I happen to love Give In. It was written for me. :D I do prefer Russ', ahem. Bostjan's, rougher vocals over the softer ones though.

Andy Williams rocks solid balls of awesomeness. Poor choice for your example.
