Re: “Sam Lai Serves Up Chinese Cuisine in the Old North End

Best Chinese in the Burlington area, hands down. His General Tsos helped me graduate from Burlington College 6 years ago! I no longer live in Vermont but I am always seeking out Chinese as high quality as Lai's. So far nothing anywhere has come close. Keep it up! Best of luck and I'm excited to see what happens in the future!

Re: “Sam Lai Serves Up Chinese Cuisine in the Old North End

I've always found China Express 2 to be one of the better Chinese food joints in the area. I'm definitely intrigued by the traditional cuisine from Fujian, and I imagine many others would be as well. Look forward to sampling some of those dishes when Mr. Lai gets the food truck business underway! Or, in the mean time, perhaps add a special home-cooked menu one day a week? Could keep things interesting for the locals (and the chef!) while the college kids are out of town.

Re: “Seasoned Traveler: Rickie's Indian Restaurant

I really hope these two continue to find success. It sounds like their restaurant is a little hidden, which is unfortunate. I adore great Indian food! I always like to try any restaurant that serves Indian food, so if I'm ever here I'll have to check this place out.

Re: “Seasoned Traveler: Dusit Thai Cuisine, Newport

We have enjoyed two excellent dining experiences at Dusit Thai and we're looking forward to many more.

Re: “Seasoned Traveler: Dusit Thai Cuisine, Newport

I find the part about, "nothing but satisfied customers" interesting. My husband and I went a week after opening, most eager for a new experience. It was terrible. We both agreed it was our worst experience in a restaurant ever. We expessed as much before we left, calmly and as graciously as possible but we were offered no explanation or recompense.

I will never return. Our waitress was wonderful and I went out of my way to be sure to tell her as much, otherwise, the whole experience was utterly disgraceful.

Their food is so wonderful, and this is the friendliest gas station in the area :)
