Re: “Supper at Sally's: Scenes From a Winter Night at the Salvation Army

Secure home would make me smile after reading this article it makes me sick. There is no such thing as homelessness in Canada and they take way more refugees. There is way to much fraud and waste by those in charge of Vermont and you can start in any of the State departments only to find bonus and incentives giving to those in authority of watching Vermont's money and I have had some audited and changes were made but they found another way to pad their pockets in this instance but I feel like those lockers are a kind and helpful jester however the streets are cold and dark and offer no safety and while I was out there for 2 Years in Burlington the town that I was born and raised in I looked around and saw mainly locals living on the streets while foreigners and refugees occupied the lower income houses that were federal and state funded as affordable housing! I think there is a lot more that can be done even if it costs because in the end these are my brothers and sisters not matter what we need to look after and help other Vermonters first and then if there are extras give to others as I am tired of seeing all my friends and family that I grew up with as a kid living outside in their own HOMETOWN while strangers to Vermont are in an apartment that was funded by Vermonters that should be lived in by the locals. I am for tiny apartments instead of lockers the Salvation Army land would suffice and the ones that live in the tiny apartments could host the meals greatful that they have a roof!
