Re: “Meet Julia DiFerdinando, Vermont Comedy Club's New Creative Director

Wonder what her father thinks about all that F---ing in the clip? I think she was funny but too many Fs. I was interested in the information in the written article and think this is a very good idea. The club is going and this is a good move at the right time. Bob

Tim & Candy are truly amazing people. Individually and together they hold something special but are super dynamic as a team!

Re: “Storyteller Sue Schmidt Finds Comedy in Life's Adventures

What a delight it was to learn that Seven Days would be doing an article about Sue Schmidt! It's hard to fathom why the journalist would choose the most provocative possible quote to introduce people to someone who is, in reality, the state's cleanest comic and a brilliant storyteller and teacher. Anyone who has worked with Ms. Schmidt and experienced her transformative work with young people and marginalized folks from all walks of life would read this as a very odd presentation of her indeed. It feels as though an unguarded anecdote from the storyteller's youth was gleefully snatched up for its shock value and used in a way that would color her image negatively. Really saddened by that choice.

Re: “Comedian Richard Bowen Just Wants to Tell Jokes Full Time

That Laugh Factory set is funny as hell. He had that place dying. Joyous to watch. Congrats Richard!

Re: “Comedian Hari Kondabolu's New Documentary Examines Racial Stereotypes on 'The Simpsons'

Most of the "white" people on the show are also not shown in a flattering light. That's kind of the point.

Re: “Funny Females Drive the Vermont Comedy Scene

Great in depth article! Awesome comedians! I love that you included the video clips! However it does seem that the recorded acoustics at VCC are not very good. Very echoey, hard to understand the comedians. I've seen live shows and it's fine. So maybe something to look at. We want to showcase this talent!

Re: “Comedian Kendall Farrell Is Making a Scene

The fact that Kendall is as talented as he is and still doesn't call himself a comedian shows how much respect he has for the craft.

Re: “Sandra Bernhard Talks Bowie, Trump and 'Roseanne'

The TV show SOAP featured an openly gay character in 1977 played by Billy Crystal. I believe that makes his character the first openly gay character?
