Re: “Would you pay 26 percent tax for weed you could buy in a Vermont store?

It has taken so long to legalize weed that I'm happy to help make it work by paying reasonable taxes, and since it's a luxury, 26 percent seems reasonable. It would be great if the taxes support education, care for at-risk youth, help for people who are addicted to substances or activities, and other worthwhile causes. I would assume that the tax would not apply to medical marijuana--anything that raises the cost of health care is unacceptable.

What if you already are approved for medical pot? Do you get a break from taxation?

Re: “Would you pay 26 percent tax for weed you could buy in a Vermont store?

I think that 26% tax is too high, however I also think that for convenience and for being able to buy the strain of weed you want a good number of people would still buy it

Re: “Would you pay 26 percent tax for weed you could buy in a Vermont store?

Very positive news for the Black Market weed trade in Vermont. Pity, hope this is rethought for the well being of our great little state. 26% would encourage illegal drug trade. Make it reasonable legislators!

Re: “Would you pay 26 percent tax for weed you could buy in a Vermont store?

It also depends on if the production of the product is worth the price! If the quality is low and you ask a high price you will not get your money and people will still turn to black market. I am a medical card carrier so I have been going to the dispensary and some of the products are definitely not worth the prices!!

This is Vermont. All the gardeners are growing it themselves. I dont know who is buying it, but Tax it 100%, and forget about the carbon tax, on heating oil, propane, gas and diesel! People need to be able to afford to stay warm, not high!

I agree with Mark above but I would like to see some of that tax go towards schools to lower that insane tax for everyone in Vermont

The tax I would be comfortable with depends on the price of marijuana plus tax.

Re: “How do you feel about the price of iced coffee?

Ice coffee sounds good...but is it really good for you? What's in it? Do you know? Just like all food and drink...we should question what we are consuming. For many of us out there...food allergies are a huge crisis in this country. A country where ( everyone seems to be sick or suffering some something ) If we stand firm against Gmo corporations...demand Clean food and get rid of these ( so called standards) The fda and corporate America have given us....We as a people would begin to heal. Realizing that food...should be disease prevention. Not medication. .once we get sick. So...think about that iced coffee and whatever else you are putting into your body ( unknowingly )

Re: “What are your views on biodynamic wine?

Biodynamic is a pseudoscientific farming practice developed by the same racist creator of Waldorf education: Rudolf Steiner. Its proponents claim that it is better than organic, but do practices such as burying ground quartz stuffed into the horn of a cow to harvest "cosmic forces in the soil" really make it so?
