Re: “Drifters

Fresh creative local food at a great price. Atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. Friendly staff and an open kitchen allows you to see your food being prepared. Beer, wine, ciders and mead available. We have been many times and will keep them on always on the top of our list.

Re: “Luminary Ink Tattoos, Body Piercing & Permanent Cosmetics

My daughter, Ryann is an artist at Luminary, and her work is totally off the charts. The new studio is beautiful, and the location is convenient with none of the BS parking hassles in B-town. Congrats to Sara and her staff for taking this 3 steps up! Love you guys - you rock!

Re: “Nunyuns Bakery & Café

I love the homey feel of Nunsies. This place is a true Neighborhood Kitchen. Great Soups! And i love seeing local artists given opportunity to exhibit their artwork. I'm glad this is a cafe without wi-fi. Nice place to talk, read and enjoy the bright light, plants, art and the savory and sweet eats. Thank you Christine and Paul!

A whole floor including stairwells, halls , waiting room and kitchen in the renovated historic Hardwick Inn, available on an informal basis to local artists and the community. Fun!

Re: “Rotisserie Restaurant

Sunday brunch combined quality and value in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Eggs Benny were perfect, and the hash and eggs, huge. Plus $5 Bloody Marys!

Re: “McGillicuddy's on the Green

Mcgillicuddys has great food and great service. Food is always consistent and tastes great. They have local grass fed burgers and a great variety of menu items. They also have one of the largest selections of local brews anywhere around. As a google guide I would highly recommend them to try.

Re: “Hattie's Kitchen

We enjoyed our first trip to Hattie's this morning for breakfast and we will certainly return soon. Pat personally welcomed us to her oh-so-cozy eatery and made a point to greet and serve all of her guests. My husband's homemade cinnamon raisin bread French Toast was both flavorful and filling. The side of bacon was perfectly cooked to his liking. My blueberry pancake was huge (about 9 inch diameter) and plump with berries. Vermont maple syrup is standard fare as are bottomless cups of coffee and tea. Enjoying Hattie's is a quintessential slice of Vermont!

Re: “Esperanza Restaurante

This place offers the only hope of authentic Tex-Mex in Vermont. I grew up in Texas and have delightfully consumed thousands of Tex-Mex dishes, thus, a move to Vermont a decade ago created a huge culinary void -- particularly in the area of queso, refried beans and Mexican rice. This restaurant is the only one I've found that knows how to do these items right, *without* drowning them in cumin, or melting American cheese into a bowl and calling it queso, etc. And they actually use lard in the refritos (gasp!) as authentic recipes often call for. My default is the two-item combo with a refried-bean tostada and chile relleno.I do wish they offered a hotter version of salsa, but overall I'm very glad for this place to exist.
