    Continuing an exploration she began during a 2015 residency in China, Cheney works accumulated papers — ticket stubs, receipts, fragments of old paintings — into multilayered constructions. In this way are her new works built from the past. Memories also inform O’Brien’s abstracted representational works, as she refers to photographs she’s taken to document places, times and moods. at T.W. Wood Gallery in Montpelier.
