    Fri., Nov. 22, 8 p.m.

While cooped up in his New York City apartment recovering from a broken foot, Rubblebucket cofounder Alex Toth had a musical breakthrough. The former Burlingtonian, who records solo as Tōth, landed on a new sound quite different from the boisterous art rock of his other band. The songs contained on his 2019 debut, Practice Magic and Seek Professional Help When Necessary, are a little bit country and a little bit dream-pop. The singer-songwriter’s soft falsetto vocals heighten the sense of vulnerability heard throughout. Catch Tōth on Friday, November 22, at ArtsRiot in Burlington.
