In their first visit to the United States, 55 dancers from the National Ballet Theatre of Odessa leap and twirl across the stage, acting out the trials and tribulations of Prince Siegfried and the maiden Odette. Cursed by a sorcerer, Odette is a swan by day and a beautiful woman by night. Can the prince free her from this evil spell? Pyotr Illyich Tchaikovsky’s sweeping score propels the Ukrainian dance company’s full-scale production of this enchanting tale, performed in four acts. at Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center, Stowe Mountain Resort in Stowe.
