Created in mourning, DuGrenier’s “Out of the Ashes” series blends the charred metal remnants of farm fixtures and equipment with exquisite forms of dripping clear glass. Known for art glass and high-end commissions (such as for the Ritz Paris and Tiffany & Co.), this work is a stark departure from the artist’s usual aesthetic.
