    Vermont classical music lovers may be familiar with British pianist Paul Lewis, who has become a Middlebury College Performing Arts Series audience favorite over the years. For the first concert of 2019, the award-winning instrumentalist shares the stage with compatriot tenor Mark Padmore. The pair presents a recital of German lieder, songs written for piano and voice that typically reflect the mood of a poem. Described by the New York Times as an art song “dream team,” Padmore and Lewis breathe life into works by Johannes Brahms, Gustav Mahler and Robert Schumann. at Robison Hall, Mahaney Arts Center, Middlebury College in Middlebury.
