Re: “Burlington Breakfast Destinations That Can Power Your Day

Thanks TheSchwa and Richard for reading - appreciate your input for future articles. We couldn't include everyone but were really trying to stick to downtown. Nunyuns is great but didn't make the downtown cut, being in the Old North End. And Lucky doesn't open till 9 am, which seemed a bit too late for weekday breakfasts.

Re: “Rediscovering the Lost Art of Cooking Dried Beans

hi Caleb - thanks for reading. you are absolutely correct that it is quicker to make beans in a pressure cooker, but not everyone has one! I have eaten beans made both ways and I think they're both delicious. Melissa

Re: “Rediscovering the Lost Art of Cooking Dried Beans

@soxfansince63 and @goredsox - the method for the gratin is in the "7 ways to enjoy beans" list above. I just added ribboned kale and chopped mushrooms when I caramelized the onions! thanks for reading, Melissa

Re: “Theater Review: 'Every Brilliant Thing,' Middlebury Actors Workshop

Saw this this weekend - absolutely brilliant. Loved the audience participation and Aly was amazing. Such an important subject -- really hoping it might be performed again in the area so I can urge everyone I know to go! thank you.

Re: “Arbor Farmstead Practices Veganic Agriculture in Grand Isle

Hi Rich ard - thanks for reading. I should have included that detail but here is the answer from Alisha - "Regarding the chicken/rabbit manure, we incorporate it into the hugelkultur [a type of mounded raised bed])... beyond the elderberries... In addition to providing habitat, the mounds are eventually planted with annual and perennial pollinator plants, which are not harvested." Melissa P.
