Re: “Vice President Mike Pence to Return to Vermont

Fortunately for Vermont it sounds like Pence is being sent to Poland to replace Trump who wants to stay and control the Hurricane heading for Maralago!

Re: “Wily Coyote Activists Use Facebook Images of Hunters for Their Cause

Ah X-Road! Oh for the good old days when slavery was the norm. Fortunately those who opposed it did not just ignore it!

Those who keep saying that only natives are smart enough and allowed to voice opinions better all be Native Americans and not just descendant imposters from Europe etc.

Re: “Wily Coyote Activists Use Facebook Images of Hunters for Their Cause

"Covey and the commissioner also agree that it's wrong to view the killing of coyotes as wasteful, even when their pelts aren't used, because the activity still serves as a way for sportsmen to connect with nature."
This is the most ignorant statement I have heard that hasn't come out of Washington DC. By this thinking " killing of humans may not be wasteful because it serves as a way for sociopaths to connect with humanity!

It is obvious that only legislation by the legislature and / or the replacement of the Commissioner of Fish & Wildlife (The Department of Hunting and Trapping) and the Governor will bring sanity to the wanton waste thrill killing in Vermont.

Re: “Following Accusations of Sexism, Vermont Judge Wins Six-Year Term

Is it really this hard to find good decent judges that don't still need training not to be sexist and arrogant? Amazing!

Re: “Scott Defends Vermont National Guard, Says No Investigation Needed

The information from the series on the VANG had a very strong indication of cronyism and lack of leadership among the officers and jet drivers in VTANG. The basic issue is officers took care of themselves and did not care about the enlisted troops. An officer is supposed to ensure the troops are equipped, fed and taken care of before the officers! I would suggest that the Air Guard assign this book to all their officers so they can learn what leadership is all about: https://www.usni.org/store/books/professio…
Leadership starts by example from the very top!

Re: “Up to Here in Deer: As Fewer Vermonters Hunt, the Growing Herd Is Becoming a Problem

Your comment is completely wrong on the facts about people shooting coyotes by the hundreds just for fun. They leave the bodies to rot. There is a great example on Facebook where one guy who sells FoxPro electronic callers that lure coyotes in so he can shoot them with his AR-15 from his snipers nest! He has pictures of his pick up with many dead coyotes thrown in it. He has a large collection of their skulls on the wall of his barn. There are bunch of these guys who live to kill coyotes. Your reference to Trump is irrelevant. However, I do agree that their is a similarity in those who believe in what he says and the ignorance behind wanton killing of wildlife.

Re: “Up to Here in Deer: As Fewer Vermonters Hunt, the Growing Herd Is Becoming a Problem

I believe that many Vermont Landowners are posting their land to stop the inane killing of coyotes 24/7/365. The coyote is killed for no scientific or sensible. reason. Most are killed just for the fun of killing and are left to rot! Others post their land to prevent hounders from turning their radio controlled hounds loose in the woods to harass wildlife and run down bear when they are trying to raise their cubs etc. These hounders and thrill killers have destroyed hunting for the honorable deer hunter who hunt respectfully. I expect more land will be posted until Fish and Wildlife rules to manage coyotes properly and outlaw hounding. Thanks.
